  1. We have been on 12 cruises and were lucky enough to be upgraded on our lst one to an OV - Once we were upgraded to balcony and I can honestly say I am just as happy with an OV so you might think of that. There would be an advantage to the balcony if you smoke - otherwise we save money and still have a view with an OV

  2. For our twelve Carniva cruises we parked at the terminal unitl the last one. It is so expensive at the terminal but it is very handy. However, we used the Radisson and it was good. No problems - we dropped off our luggage went about 2 miles or less and parked and waited for the shutlle maybe 30 minutes and we got there when it was busy. I have priority debarkation and we got on a shuttle very quickly. However their rate from last year went from 4.95 day to 7.95 day. I found another site that is new to me - I did not see it last year. They are advertising 5.95 day and INSIDE parking - it shows the picutre of a nice metal warehouse type building. It is ICPOPC.com Inside Parking of Port Canaveral. It did not however give a phone number and I like to talk to a place first. Has anyone used this place and can anyone tell me anything about it? We are leaving on the Sunshine on May 17th for 8 days. Thanks for any inpui.

  3. We just booked the repositioning cruise on the Dream. We finally get to see Aruba. PLUS it's a 9 day cruise. So very excited! :)

Where do you live i.e. I am wondering about to from the ports since you start in one port and end in another. We usually drive our car which would be out. Also, does the passport card work or is a passport required since it is not closed loop. Thanks.

  4. Be sure to take a power strip...only one plug in per cabin....in addition to over the door shoe bag, they have an over the door hook that can be used for towels, robes and wet bathing suits there is one on each door but I would take three or four more (just $4 and well worth it)

Dollar Tree also has plastic containers with lids that work well to put toiltries in...lay them down and cover to travel then when on board stand them up - this keeps them organized and you can just pic up the container and move from wherever to the bathroom etc. If you take on a lot of soda (you can take 12/person, carry on the 12x12x12 cooler allowed (I use a hard sided one for this and take it to pool etc. I also put a soft sided one in my luggage folded up. Most room stewards are glad to keep them filled with ice especially if you tip them a little early on. Also for the 12 carry on sodas per person, put them in a duffle bag or small suit case.. You will drink the soda on board and have an empty case or bag for dirty clothes etc. I am waiting for my eleventh cruise in May so you probably know I love it. As I think of more tips, I will post them.:):o:cool:

  5. We leave on the Dream CCL in 33 days and were considering the Radison parking - day rate as we would not stay there the night before. My main concern is getting the shuttle both ways. I am not really worried about getting there as we will be there early but I would like to know how getting off works. When you get off, how do you get your luggage to the shutlle (we usually have 4-5 bags and have to use a porter due to health reasons. Do you have to wait as we have an early debarkation due to VIP. I would hate to get off early and have to wait till other debark. Where do you meet the shuttle - I would appreciate anything anyone can tell me. Thanks.

  6. We have Main Deck Aft 2499 an oceanview. It appears to be a cabin that looks out the back of the ship not the side. I was thinking about trying to upgrade as after ten cruises we have never stayed in this location. We know nothing about it. Does anyone have experience with cabins all the way aft looking out the back. Should we upgrade? We are on Carnival Dream but I would like opinions from anyone that has had a cabin in this location. Thanks.
