The ship looks like no lights are on in any of the cabins.. Hmmm that does seem strange ..

I cannot believe the media doesn't have this broadcasted ! This is a lot more interesting than politics!

This is the way I look at it.. I have over 40 cruises under my belt and this cruise alone convinced me of the safety of being on a cruise ship at sea.. Think about this.. 150 mph winds and 30 ft waves and that ship not only survived but no loss of life or major injuries .. Only from what we hear now as superficial cosmetic damage! No power outage and they didn't lose Internet or television .. Think about that.. If that storm would have come ashore doing 150 mph winds, what damage it would have done! Property damage, injuries, loss of lives.. .. I would rather be at sea on one of these ships than here on land anyday!!

Can someone onboard the ship comment or post a pic of your current position.. All the ship locators have the ship in port at Port Canaveral .. Thanks !

Wow! I'm totally speechless after reading this thread! This could be a novel!

For those onboard the ship.. I prayed hard for you last night and I'm sorry they are cutting your cruise short!

I am a diamond plus with Royal and what disappoints me the most is that they did not make a comment about this situation until AFTER the media got ahold of it! It seems to me that RCCL could have made a statement as soon as they knew the ship was going into the storm.. Some of you will say , they don't have time to report every storm but when you are headed into a storm with 6 thousand people onboard and 100 mph + winds, then you make the time! Don't let the passengers be the only ones reporting what is going on and decide to do something or make a statement out of desperation after the fact! You cannot out run the Internet ! And it's always better to offensive than defensive! And don't make lite of something that someone has a video and pictures of .. Btw.. There's a big reason why that ship is going back to Bayonne and not continuing on its journey.. Esp after everyone is saying damage is just cosmetic !

Buy a lanyard, then ask the pursers desk to punch a hole in your key card.. Do it everytime I cruise! Love it and handy too!

Thank you all so much!! I've cruised 38 times on other cruiselines and never had an issue.. The skorts I have are dressy.. Not casual and they look totally like a skirt all the way around but have shorts underneath..

New to Holland America.. Can someone please tell me if you can wear dress skorts in the main dining room.. And I've also read sleeveless will not be allowed, does this apply to formal gowns too?

First time cruising on HAL.. 38 total cruises elsewhere.. Can women wear skorts to dinner on casual nights?
