True story, we were in Dominica many years ago on a tour to the Emerald Pools. We asked our guide where the bathroom was and he looked at me funny and said there was none.

 

Well, nature was calling and woods was all around. I stepped off the path went into the woods for some privacy. My sneakers disappeared in the mud and my feet were just as muddy. I had to dig out my shoes and wrapped them in my beach towel and was barefoot. After that peeing in the woods instance, we returned back to our bus and lo and behold what do we find?

I can only guess that our tour guide thought I wanted to take a bath.

Be careful what you ask for in foreign lands.:cool::cool:

I don't understand why people ask for a bathroom, when they want a toilet. Do you ask for a Big Mac when you want a hotdogs? [emoji1]

My wife and I almost never go out wining, dining etc at home so take full advantage of every formal night. As our travels include hiking and backpacking interspersed with cruising, our formal gear is op shop aquired and usually left behind with a deserving room steward. Saves carrying that weight in a backpack through mountain passes.
