  1. We just sailed on the Pride on 8/16, first time on Carnival, and I'm so glad we were able to purchase FTTF. It was worth it to me for getting through the security and check-in, having the room ready as soon as we boarded, tendering in Half Moon Cay, and visiting guest services.

It wasn't available several times when I tried to purchase, but eventually it was. I've read on these boards that they release passes in increments so keep trying.

  2. Just sailed on the Pride a few weeks ago, 8/16. I believe smoking areas were casino bar, deck 3 aft, deck 10 forward and deck 9 by the forward pool. I'm not a smoker, but my dad is and husband occasionally.

I witnessed glares and indirect passive-aggressive comments from some smokers who were upset to see non-smokers sitting in any of the seats on deck 9. I understand smoking areas are scarce, but didn't think non-smokers were barred from using those seats. On a full ship, seating is tough on sea days.

Curious if other smokers feel slighted to see non-smokers sitting in a smoking area.

  3. Our first cruise with Royal was last August. When I called to book it (directly thru Royal), I was asked if there was a special occasion being celebrated. I mentioned our wedding anniversary and she noted it on our booking.

When we got to the room, there was a single sheet of paper that listed several deals/discounts for us in honor of our special occasion. I know there was one regarding the art auction and one for the airbrush tattoo...I can't remember the other offers, but we only used one - a free bottle of house champagne, which we redeemed with our dinner in Chops.

I thought it was nice of them.
