  1. CruisenovicesUK ~ Thank you again for the wonderful Blog. I've never read one before, but found myself wanting to sign on my computer as often as I could to see what new info you and your OH had for us. I also loved the videos and pics of you two you posted, so we could put a face to the names. I truly felt like I was on this cruise with you guys!

Enjoy NYC, It's great weather outside, so it will make walking around pleasant to see all your sights.

    Have safe travels back home.

I felt the way. Enjoying life and sharing with us all. Thanks again.

The last 2 shots are of self service wine machines where you can tap your card and serve yourself. However, we have just asked the bar man and he advised even if on a drinks package these wines are not included even if under the $14 per glass limit, which seems a bit odd. I guess it's a concept as I have never seen self service wine machines in any other bar before.

Thanks so much for posting Vintages, I can hardly wait to enjoy some wine there. I love the concept of being able to try the various wines. Your posts are covering everything I wanted to know about. I appreciate and enjoy all your posts. Do you know if they had any wine tastings?

  3. I love Royal Carribbean ships that have promenade view rooms. The room facing the Vintage Bar is my favorite. I checked out the promenade view room on the Oasis and Allure, but the windows appear to be too small for me, so we booked the balcony overlooking the boardwalk on deck ten close to the aqua theater. We did not find it too noisey and enjoyed the various going ons on the boardwalk. We also enjoyed the various shows, rehearsals and the belly flop shows, etc. held in the aqua theater from our balcony.

We are planning a family cruise on the Oasis in May, 2014. Of course, we are booked in the boardwalk view balcony. My children will have to opt for a balcony or family stateroom, since boardwalk view rooms only accommodate, two or four. We are booked across from each other and so far we are fourteen strong and counting.

Thanks for the promenade information. Enjoy cruising, we sure do.

  4. Anxiously awaiting my trip on Freedom in 27 days!!!! I have heard nothing but amazing things about this ship and can't wait to experience it myself!

We have a promenade stateroom and we are excited about that...it's what we had on AOS and we like it alot.

I'm also excited because it's the first time we will have extra time pre and post cruise to enjoy ourselves in Florida!

Just returned from the Freedom and we had the time of our lives. She is a beauty. We always book a Promenade stateroom, when available. We find the sixth deck, mid ship, overlooking Vintage is perfect for viewing the parades, parties and the sales featured on the promenade. Enjoy your cruise, we did.

  5. I sailed on the Majesty of the Seas about 10 years ago and enjoyed spending some time in the sauna & steam room after working out. I'll be on this ship again soon and am a little disappointed to see that they got rid of the sauna and made the steam room smaller.

How many people will the new steam room accommodate? Is it still worth using? I'm sure I'll have a great time on the cruise but was looking forward to these amenities...

No answer as to the new accommodations, but I enjoyed the Majesty of the Seas sauna and steam room and have been disappointed when they are not available on certain ships. Going on the Enchantment and will surely check this out.

    Enjoy your cruise.

  6. I have our last Freedom review in my blog if anyone is interested. Visit my website in my address and then select Blog.

Thanks for sharing a lot of interesting information. We sail Aug 30 on the Freedom and have sailed on the Mariner several times. I was disappointed when it left Port Canaveral for the west coast and hope she will return.

    Have a great day, Thelma
