Looks like this is Agetha now, but if part of this forms in the gulf we will have Alex in the gulf. We are set to sail on the Magic out of Norfolk 6/4 to Nassau, HMC and Freeport. I know we can be rerouted which is no biggie. Also seen this from one of the Bahamian news sources

Love, Love, Love your posts! We have 41 days til we set sail and this is making me so excited! Bummer about the Ruben though.

The family mini on escape, getaway both have tubs and totally worth it

Definitely bring any and all "baby specific" stuff....diapers, wipes, medication you MIGHT need...the ship does NOT sell pediatric stuff! Nose drops, baby tylenol, cough medications, tummy medications, ear drops, antihistamines, etc......whatever you use or may need...bring it.
Also, most cabins have only showers, so either get baby used to that, or bring a blow up tub. Baby's aren't allowed in the pools, so it may be useful for splashing on the pool deck. (Empty into a floor or shower drain...not onto the pool deck or into the pool!)
Make use of the dining rooms...so much easier to be served than juggling plates utensils and baby in the buffet!
This, plus most of the staff love babies atleast this was our case. Blow up pool is a life saver if you don’t have a room with a tub.

We found out about a week or so before with our edocs

Does anyone have this or perhaps can share what is complimentary room service? I believe it is breakfast stuff....?:) Specifically for the Getaway...TIA
Just off the escape and there was fruit, yogurt, cereal, milk, croissant and muffins on the complimentary breakfast.

Great info here already... you can also check out my review (link in my signature) we sailed over thanksgiving with my 2.5 yr old and 6 year old! Thought she was too old for the guppies program (really should be up to 2 years old) and she only went to 1 session, seemed great for the little little ones though. Otherwise such a fun cruise!!
I read your review it was great and very helpful! We leave in 9 days!

This is so helpful! We are leaving out on the 30th and i hope DD will enjoy some Time with other Guppies!

I've been looking at Liberty's 1/22 cruise (and Adventure's 1/21 cruise).
Liberty is a good deal for 3 people, IMO. Under $2300 total with $300 OBC. For comparison, we are paying over $3200 for Allure this February, which we still consider to be a fine price.
We paid $1920 for three in a E3 on Nov 27! With 400 OBC. Which I think is a good deal

We stayed in a Hilton that was super close to the port (walking distance)

Thanks I'll try reading reviews today, I've always cruised Carnival, but my DF has never cruised and I'm really looking at Norwegian or RCI due to the ability to drop off for a couple hrs (paid by us) we won't use it a lot or we might not use it at all just nice to have the option to use it.
-
I have cruised before and I'm looking to book a cruise next year for DD(6months) and my DF. I'm guessing my daughter will be 1 1/2 by the time we sail. I've researched a little but I'm not sure what the best line would be? Please help!
-
I know it's a good ways off, but when would be the earliest I could book for summer/fall 2017? When does Carnival post those cruises? Cruise fever is at an all time high, I had one planned for Feb of this year, but due to being pregnant I'd be too far along by then so now I'm looking to book one.

We booked 7 nights on the Vision Jan. 3rd for 937.80 for 2 in an ov, I've been bracing this cruise for over 2 months and it was over 500.00 cheaper!
-
Definitely giving the sernade another look. Anything else I should know about the seranade that may be interesting or something I need to know?
-
I really need some opinions on this one, I have cruised on Carnival twice and never on Royal. My fiance and I are looking to book a cruise in Jan. we may have another group booking with us which are 2 adults and a child who is 7 I have been to most of the ports except Falmouth, Jamaica and Costa Maya although I have been to other ports in Jamaica. Both ships leave on the same day 1/3/15 The Vision is in Tampa and Sernade is in NOLA. Both trips for us are about the same $$ so that isn't really a factor. Which ship would be better? I'm looking for something that will keep all the adults entertained and there will be a lot of activities for the 7 year old to enjoy on and off the ship.

Yes, I have seen those but that puts this in S. Fl Bahamas through the weekend. Honestly Just nervous and watching. Ironically more nervous over this than watching Florence come at us head on in NC/SC as a cat 4.
