Hi do Canaries cruise this year in February lovely weather apart from choppy first night was on Majesty going too on Dream having sampled most Thomson ships .

Food was good and like I say weather fairly warm 23/27/28 most days .

Haven't been to la Gomera since our honeymoon 28 years ago but was a lovely quiet island looking forward to seeing how it's changed.

We fly out 10 th to Gran Canaria on this cruise when are you joining.

Got to wait til October just booked epic from Barcelona booked and paid for future cruise deposits whilst onboard and used them to book towards cruise ,

Forgot to say on our two sea days we had a bbq lunch ,then waiters came round with fruit kebabs and ice lollies never had this ever on any of our past cruises this one being number 14 in last five years .

Found all the food to be good esp the steaks lol

Hi just a couple of weeks back from great grand med cruise ,pizza in buffet fab,no chocoholic buffet ,white hot night was great too held in galaxy of the stars .

Ship was in good shape ,elements best show of cruise .

5 days til we fly out to Barcelona to board spirit for 12 day cruise around med finishing in the gorgeous Venice whoop whoop!

Just back last week n all standard cabins are small wether inside or outside all the same ,always go for the plus cabins as a far bit wider not so claustrophobic .

Hi sorry forgot to say we paid extra for plus cabin was considerably bigger!

Just back a week ago when we first boarded the majesty I thought what have we done noisy creaking all night but on awaking the first morning realised we had endured a force 10 from gran canaria to la Palma ,explored ship n thought it's not to bad it was just the bad weather .

On going into breakfast realised as only about a dozen of us in n crockery smashing everywhere ,was entertaining watching other passengers walking around ship.

As the week went on we grew to love the ship n thought hey ho it's not that bad n couldn't understand why Thomsons are getting rid it's better in our opinion than the spirit which we sailed last August n the celebration the year before,we sailed on splendour whilst under Royal Caribbean n found it a great ship so discovery is also better than most of Thomsons fleet ,looking forward to discovery 2 and both the main sheiff ships coming over in the next two years .

All in all Thomsons give in our opinion good value for money with flights ,tips n drinks included.

Yes there are better ships out in the field but honestly wouldn't slam Thomsons for their overall package.

We've sailed p&o,Royal Caribbean,princess and msc and can only say we've never hated any ,either we re easily pleased or don't look for faults.

Hi have just come back Saturday on the first flight into gatwick we left ship at 5 pm sharp n check in complete by 6pm boarding started at 7.05 and we took of about 8 pm landing at gatwick at 12.10 am Sunday morning passports were quiet but we waited ages for bagge carousel to eventually display ,you was correct flight out was hour late we arrived on ship at 9 pm muster at 9.30 cases arrived then headed to buffet about 10.15 as main restaurant was closed by then.

Have just come back yesterday from this cruise formal night was on day two for us from la Palma to Madeira ,have a great time we did

We've also booked travel lodge Eastleigh for two nights next week 13/15 th Feb before our five day cruise on Ventura .staying here as good price,free parking n shopping in Portsmouth on the Saturday and meeting friends from nearby on the Sunday so felt it suited our needs .

We don't have to be out til 12 midday on the Monday n don't need to check in til at least 2 pm so plenty of time to have a leisurely breakfast n poodle on down to terminal to check in .

We too have booked this cruise for October this year doing the same itinerary.

Sailed on this ship in October last year as splendour and was very impressed ,we sailed out of Venice around Greece and Turkey ,great weather ,food ,staff etc and pleased we are going again on this ship under Thomsons .

We have sailed Thomsons twice over the past three years and have loved every cruise ,entertainment in our opinion is the best and we have sailed Rci, msc, princess ,Norwegian also.

Due to try p & o Ventura in two weeks so will be able to compare after this next cruise.

Hi we have booked a select fare and too thought that it includes port shuttle buses .

Whilst on princess last year port bus's were laid on but we had to pay for the return journey into Blankenburg ,hoping that p&o provide shuttles on our select fare but unsure now !!

Hi I'm also on this cruise n new to p& o hoping we get to Amsterdam as this cruise at new year the Ventura couldn't dock, been to zeebrugge last year on princess had a great day in Bruges caught train from blankenburg to Bruges was fairly cheap n nice journey.

Hoping the weather is going to kind to us I know it will be on the colder side but hope for no rain or winds lol

Have a balcony cabin on c deck n not supposed to board until 3.30 even though ship is meant to leave at 4.30 I thought?

Hi mini kiss yes we too are on c deck so must be 3.30 for those passengers on this deck.

23 year old daughter will love the two days spent prior to cruise in Southampton judging by the excellent shopping those on here are talking about!

Hi we are also on this cruise having cruised on Thomson x2 NCL X1 rci x2 princess X1 the last being in October from Venice, MSC x3 we are staying in Southampton fir two nights before cruise and have just received our e tickets n labels we too have a boarding time of 15.30 which is so near to departure time maybe this is because we have a higher grad balcony cabin I believe they board from the top of the ship first and work there way down, looking forward to seeing the difference to all the other cruiselines we've previously cruised on .this Late time means we only have three days onboard which is a shame as we like embarkation day looking around ship although I believe it is very similar to Caribbean princess regards layout.

Hi Aus 30 we have just returned from a fly cruise out of Venice we were taken from airport very efficiently cases taken from us as we left coach, proceeded upstairs and ushered to the check in line ,waited not 30 seconds for the check in desks to become free ,checked in and given a number 11 they were calling number 8/9 we were called approx 15 minutes later to board and was straight on ship and eating lunch by the pool all within say 30 minutes of arriving at port

Very very efficient ,the best of all cruises we have taken in the last three years and this one was number ten, so go have a great time very gel now.

Going on splendour next October under thomsons cruises after she's sold to them from next April so can't wait to see the changes when she's dry docked for two months before sailing in June with them.

Enjoy we loved the ship staff and service.

Was on the cruise 24 th October preceding fire onboard cruise n ship fantastic booked again on her next October from Palma ship good size 2006 pax onboard plenty of seats ,sunbeds all week unlike princess back in June.

Can't wait to board ship again to see if any improvements.

Staff best yet so hope thomsons staff are as good been on many Thomson ships n entertainment best so far of any cruises I've completed, theatre really nice n comfortable,casino rather big n can see thomsons reducing size as us Brits are not big gamblers unlike our American counterparts.

Well trying p& o Ventura first in February so hoping to try as many companies to compare ,but honestly love thomsons for staff ,entertainment n food

Forgot to mention indoor pool n solarium best one yet on 9 plus cruises we have taken over past three years since becoming cruise addicts.

Yes we booked three weeks ago for next October from Palma going to Gibraltar Lisbon Malaga cartegena 22 nd Octiber , but before that we are going in two weeks under rci from Venice so it will be interesting to see the difference from this time to next October can't wait will be at hotel at Gatwick this time in two weeks

Have just today booked the new discovery cruise for next October 22 nd and have indeed got the extra £75 off offer with the free all inclusive drinks package from Palma.

Think I've had a good deal as was about to book ncl jade from Venice and the price has jumped up £120 each since looking yesterday so back to Thomsons on their new ship it is

By the way we are cruising on the very same ship this October from Venice ( Splendour of the seas so it will be interesting how it changes within the next year and transition to Thomsons

have just done Ancient Wonders on celebration Loved Santorini and Lesbos .Doing Msc Orchestra in February flying Emirates to Dubai cruising Abu Dhabi,Oman etc can't wait have persuaded 10 family members to join us of which 6have never cruised before they are getting super excited just need to get Christmas out of the way first.:)

We have just returned from our first royal carribean cruise having sailed on at least six other cruises within the last two years .The ship was fantastic,crew were very helpful,friendly and the most attentive of all our cruises.Our waiters Jerome and Omdish along with our wine waiter Malcolm were first class .Nothing was too much and service was excellent .The gym and steam room,sauna was also very relaxing and good used every morning to shed a few pounds and every afternoon to relax and enjoy the surroundings.The bay of biscay was pleasantly calm all week but he weather in all the Spanish ports was rain rain rain.Still this did not dampen our spirits,pardon the pun.The shows were all very we'll presented and the ice show out of this world.We would love to sail on Independence again in the future but she is relocating back to Fort Lauderdale at the end of this summer.Will have to try another of Rcis ships.Embarkation and disembarkation at Southampton was again extremely good previously we have flown to our ships at various ports around the med.I had the wine and beer package whilst the wife only had the soda package which again was perfect for us.

Would love to hear from other passengers who where on this cruise to hear your experiences also so look forward to hearing from you all.

You say you are on a b2b in July this year what weeks are these we are on 21st July for the ancient wonders itinery will you be on board this week? Have you cruised on celebration before this is our first cruise on her previously thomson destiny for our first ever cruise. We are on MSC Preziosa in April for our fourth cruise and rci independence in May before returning to Thomsons for this cruise in July..Would love to hear from you About the celebration.:

Have booked a weeks cruise at the end of May from Southampton down to Spain and France does anyone have any experience of the seas at this time of year, also has anyone ever stayed in stateroom 7332 a balcony room on the hump?? Any advice would be helpful as we have changed this cruise from a similar itinery from the end of October.
