I was on this sailing and all of the Christmas trees were up. There was christmas carol singing around the main christmas tree and a special christmas show in the theatre. A lot of christmas music being played in the Queens room too.

Just off the Harmony's first seven night sailing. They're still rehearsing the promenade parades, one Aqua show and Christopher Columbus. Seems they're also trying to figure out what will work and what will not. At times the cruise compass seemed a little bare and I would imagine there will be a lot of changes over the next few weeks. Fantastic ship though and the shows that are up and running are amazing

Can anyone find out:
Harmony: Is Ken still onboard? If so, when does his contract end? Will it be Bobby Brown next, or has that changed? (June 5 was supposed to be the handover date between these two, but that has come and gone with no change)
Vision: Who is the CD?
Anthem: Is John just completing Dru's original schedule until June 30, or will he be on for longer than that? Will it still be Abe Hughes next, or has that chnged?
Came off Harmony yesterday and Ken is still onboard. Looks like they're still doing a lot of work on the entertainment side figuring out what does and what doesn't work. No promenade parades whilst on board as they're still rehearsing. 2nd Aqua show still in rehearsal. Christopher Columbus still in rehearsal. The shows I saw were all amazing but the cruise compass did seem a little empty at times. I old imagine Ken will be on there for at least another month

Looking forward to this

Booked to go on Harmony on 12 June, have sailed on Allure. Really need to sail on Oasis too. Loving this review already

They had Red on Anthem when it sailed from the UK. Not really a theme night as such. It was a club night that made full use of the 270 technology.
-
I was wondering if anybody could tell me which nights were formal nights on the 7 night cruises form Barcelona on the Allure in 2015. Thanks in advance

Great review Kev. Brought back some great memories. Pretty much have the same opinion as you although I think I must have struck lucky in Silk. Maybe see you on the Anthem in 2017

Thanks.. when is that, the first sea day? And the important question, did you actually ASK for a discount and not get it, or are you just going based on when you saw it offered :).
It was n the 2nd sea day I think. To be fair I didn't ask for a discount. Hope you get a good one [emoji3]

Just off the Anthem and I ate in Wonderland. Did enjoy eating as two but I think it would be better the more people you have in the party. The waiter brought out two rounds of small dishes and then one round of main courses. I did find the amount of food brought out for the main courses way too much, definitely not small [emoji3] Great food though. The only time I saw discounts for Wonderland was at the Taste of Anthem event

Thanks for sharing

Take it this will mean goodbye to the zip line

I agree time for them to be merged. Will be interesting to see if anybody takes any notice though

I would go MSC. Ships are beautiful. Entertainment not great, food ok as long as you like Mediterranean cuisine. I would recommend taking your own pillow though as they were horrendously uncomfortable. As for Costa just urrrgh

Somebody has posted the cruise compass showing the royal night. It states that the same menu will be served in all of the complimentary restaurants but says only the grande had the formal dress code. So don't think this can be described as a formal night. Really don't get the reasoning behind it
-
There seems to be some confusion on this. Other people currently on the Anthem are saying "Royal Nights" actually means all the complimentary restaurants serve the same menu. Basically a selection of different items from each menu. No mention of a dress code. Can't see how they could have a dress code without pre warning people.

Hi OP. Rather than listen to our opinions of Cats (although I must admit I love it) I would suggest using google and listening to some of the songs to help you form an opinion. Even if everybody on Cruise Critic hates it you may love it. [emoji192][emoji192][emoji192][emoji192][emoji192][emoji192][emoji192]

What a great thread. Cruise critic at it's best. Somebody asks for advice and people happy to help. Just wish I add something useful to add [emoji1]

The dress code on RCI is much more relaxed than on P&O. You should have three formal nights on your cruise. Completely up to you how formal you want to make it. Unless they make any changes you should be able to use your drinks package in all bars

Well I love Gina the giraffe. She's beautiful [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1][emoji1]

Have been looking forward to this review especially for the ports of call. Will be visiting the same ports later in the year and your research is always top notch so can't wait to get loads of ideas

Great job Derek. Really enjoying all of the info and interviews. Getting me in the mood for my Anthem cruise later this year
Transatlantic crossing
in Cunard Line

I purchased the 7 day spa pass on my recent transatlantic and thought $120 was a pretty good deal. I do think they sell a few too many passes though. The sauna/stem room and aqua therapy pool are very good but it was sometime a struggle to find loungers to relax on
