  1. My gfs and I was just in Belize three weeks ago. I cant imagine staying on the ship. We heard a few rumors from other passengers and ship employees about the port. However, we wanted to form our own opinion and didnt witness any signs of danger. Cozumel and Belize were two of our favorite ports. Im sure u will find something enjoyable to do while on the ship. Just thought i'd share my experience.....

  2. Our first cruise on the Magic (in 2012) was in cabin 11267 and we didn't have any noise problems from the water park. You can hear music from the Lido mid-ship pool but this wasn't a problem.

We loved this location with the easy access to the Lido deck, have a great cruise.

Thanks for putting mind at ease! Enjoy your next cruise [emoji6]

  3. No but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night , but its a common sense question.

It was a valid question....not common sense. Im a seasoned cruiser. However, ive never had a cabin near that location. Some have told me that Waterworks shuts down early....as its for the kids. I dont have children. Therefore, I haven't paid any attention to the hours of operation. If you dont have anything constructive to say.....please dismiss yourself!

  4. That's what my concern is. I was going to book the last available spa cabin on deck 12 of Magic for an additional $300 then I read it was open and people would hang over the deck above providing no privacy. The reviewer also stated that water from an over flow drain from waterworks flowed onto their balcony and that their steward told them not to leave anything out there that they didn't want to get wet. I would have been a little irritated if I paid more for the cabin and had that kind of experience. Hoping for the best with 11270!

I have 28 days!!! How was the noise in 11270?!!

  5. I was one floor down recently, 10231. I was also concerned about noise from the Lido, but there was no noise whatsoever. One night when seas were rough, however, I noticed some movement. I didn't feel so hot but the other three members of my family were fine. Being near the Lido is pretty convenient and elevators are always going to that floor, which is good.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully, the noise will be at a minimum for us as well. And yes, im looking forward to being close to the Lido deck!

  6. We were on the Dream (sister ship) with a cabin nearer to elevators and heard occasional music from the Lido but barely.

Im praying my experience is the same. I dont mind hearing some music, as thats to be expected. Just at a minimum. Thanks for the reply!

  7. We are booked in this cabin as well for March 6th spring break week. . I'm a little concern that I didn't pay attention that it below waterworks when I chose it. We have previously stayed on Panorama deck on the Magic but were located more forward on the ship. I don't recall noise from the lido deck. The balcony view was perfect. We could even see into the bridge. Hoping 11270 will be just as nice.

Please reply with your experience following your cruise. Thanks in advance and HAVE FUN!!! [emoji6]

  8. Hello All -

We just booked 2 rooms for the Oct 7th sailing of Carnival Magic! Thanks to the free upgrade promo they were running, we're booked on the Panorama deck, 2 balcony cabins. I haven't been able to find much information on the cabins - 11264 and 11270. Does anyone know anything about them? I know the ship isn't finished yet, so not sure if it's comparable to the Dream. Thanks!

How was 11270? Im booked for October. Was there a lot of noise from the Lido deck?

  9. I just used this on my recent cruise. I was on a 4 day cruise and the social media plan was $5/day or $15/cruise. We were using it to check in on my son at home with grandma. It worked perfectly. Yes, you get as many minutes as you want.

I also didn't really want to use facebook for anything else while I was on the cruise, so I just had to force myself to only check my notifications from my family back home or use it to write to them really quick. The speed of uploading was just fine. You just go on the internet (with your phone or computer) to sign up, turn it on airplane mode, and connect to the cruise ship's wifi. Easy and cheap!

I'll be cruising in a few days and was worried about how to change the settings on my phone to only connect to wi-fi. I didnt think you could connect to wi-fi while in airplane mode. I was told to turn off cellular voice and data roaming and thats all. Do u mind elaborating? Thanks in advance....
