Hey! I just wanted to say that I just got off the Liberty Feb 8-15th in Port Canaveral, and was SHOCKED that aside from placing our carry on bags through a metal detector that they never checked our wine/champagne or drinks that we brought on. This was the 1st time EVER they have never inspected or even taken a glance for that matter at our soda or water?!?! We were shocked!

We were speaking to another couple on board later about it, and they said that their carry on bags were checked?!? Very odd! If I wouldve known, I wouldve brought on more drinks. lol

Original email offered upgrade for $50, however when I clicked on link it told me upgrade for $30!!!! I couldnt enter in my credit card info quick enough!! ha ha

I have never gotten an "upsell" offer before! I usually get a balcony room, but this was a quick cruise we booked a couple of weeks ago so we went for the cheapest option. Not like I think it will work but I just sent Carnival an email asking if there was a chance that I could get a "special" offer on upgrading to a balcony without paying full price. I am doubting they will, but it doesnt hurt to ask? :D

I work FCC, BBB, and Presidential escalations for a communications company, and I just have to shake my head at people like this because it reminds me of the crap that I HAVE to work with every day. They have this sense of entitlement which is crazy. I almost stopped reading after the "customer is always right" comment.

With exception of the chairs falling on the balcony, every other complaint mentioned is so petty and ridiculous. I just read the best article titled: "Maybe You Get Bad Customer Service Because You're a Bad Customer". Perhaps the author of this post needs to look into it.

I was told to not email the maitre d more than 30 days before your cruise date. So May might be overachieving slightly.

... AND a "ship-on-a-stick".... NICE !!!

My husband won the slots tournament the 1st day on the cruise so the ship on a stick was his along with $500.

I decided to play on the last sea day of our cruise on The Legend in April. After trying 3 times, I won $1,000. My husband was shocked because he had been watching people all week trying to win, which makes me believe that if it is only "chance" then I played it at the right time. Oh and because I am awesome!! lol

Here is our door from our cruise on The Legend last month. I was a little disappointed because my sign got CRUSHED in my luggage from the port when I put it in, to our room, (1st time that happened). But oh well. Still was cute! I got a fish net as well as palm tree at the dollar tree, but didnt use the net because I thought it wouldve been to much.

 

The illusive Vault machine. I don't know how many times we were about 1/16th of an inch away from winning the $500 and eye pad but it got pretty frustrating

 

It's funny that you mentioned "The Vault". My husband spends a lot of time in the casino and he was talking about how all week everyone spent so much money and time at something called the Vault? On the last sea day he brought me down to try it, which I really didnt want to do, because I am not very good at crane games. Sure enough on my 3rd try, I got it!

I thought to myself, "wow that was easy. If I really thought I could win I wouldve gone for the ipad"!! So at that point I thought I was the shiot! $20 dollars later with a huge crowd of people around me later, I realized that I wasnt! :(

I hate that there will be one on the Liberty, because I am sure I am going to have to try for that ipad again when we go next April!! lol :D
