  1. I was just browsing and I saw this huge sale, and I think it's finally my time to try a newer ship, and head back to the Western Caribbean !:D

The 7 night on Sunshine goes to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Costa Maya from PC, Saturday to Saturday.

The 7 night on Magic goes to Cozumel, Belize and Roatan from Galveston, Sunday to Sunday.

I know the flights to MCO from BWI on Southwest are cheaper than the flights to HOU from BWI. Also, since it's the week before Easter, the flights are annoying, and I have had cheaper ones coming back the Saturday before Easter, rather than on Easter. For $1280 on Magic I can choose the obstructed room that I like, or have them choose a full oceanview for $1152. On SUnshine, i can chooe my obstructed one for $1550 (not happening) or they can choose an oceanview for me for $1212. Thoughts?

Next, It's much cheaper to get a gaurenteed oceanview than to choose, and I want to try it out. Can anyone speak from past experience? What ype do you get? We usually get the obstructed one, but I don't want to chance not getting it if I get the gaurenteed interior. So I want to stick with the Oceanview. Has anyone had good luck, or bad luck? How far ahead do you know where your room is?

Thanks for any advice anyne can give on the itinerary, ship, and/or gaurenteed cabin. I appreciate it. Have a good day, and make sure you check out the Halloween Sale if you've been debating a cruise for a while!! :D

  2. I too am wondering this myself.

Elation is better because on the stop in Progreso. I really want to see some Mayan Ruins, and I heard that Progreso is best just for that. Louisiana would be a new state for me as well. I think plane tickets are a bit more and the Elation costs a bit more, but no more than 100 total. But i know the excursion in Progreso would tack on a lot more. But I always like a "walk around" port. I like having a stop where I have no schedule, no plans, and nothing stopping me from seeing ehat's around. I like the freedom. I have enjoyed past stops of Port Canaveral (Cocoa Beach), Roatan and Key West because of this. I like having an excursion, but I don't like being confined on vacation. The excursions are long and expensive in Progreso, but they're needed to really enjoy it. It would be less hassle to do Paradise.

Paradise is better because Grand Cayman is more tropical than Progreso, and it's actually my favorite stop (so far) :D. I would use it as my beach day, and then use Cozumel for a really cool activity. Flights are cheaper and so is the cruise. Excursion would cost less.

I am leaning more towards Elation.

    Any thoughts?

  3. I would personally start with the 7 day on Glory to Cozumel, Belize, Roatan and Grand Cayman with 2 Sea Days. That will be an optimum cruise, and I think you'll enjoy it. Once you get off the next Saturday, I suggest the Breeze again, to either Aruba/ Curaçao/ LaRomana/ Grand Turk or the one to St.Kitts/ St.Maarten/ San Juan and Grand Turk. Much more interesting than St.Thomas and Nassau. I would be on that Eastern route on Breeze if it wasn't for scheduling issues.

Glory is one of my favorite ships and you'll love it no matter what. It is very similar to the Conquest, especially if you went on it since 2.0. you're gonna have a blast. Good luck !! :D

  4. This may seem like a stupid question to many but hear me out....

Options: Listed in the poll option.

Benefits of the Elation: 5 days, 14 year old has to start school Monday, Cruise comes back Thursday, Dream gives him 1 day! Coming back on Thursday will give him time to adjust (many are probably worried about his sanity, He came back from Europe with 3 days to get back into the time zone amd wake up properly, he can manage.)Visits Progreso and Cozumel, Progreso being new. Want to try the Fantasy-Class before they start going away. Regular interior room, good location

Benefits of the Dream: 7 nights, Dream class is great (no ropes course or guys, his favorite things :() Goes to Mo Bay, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, Grand Cayman being his favorite island. Bigger, has the better slides and pool area. Interior Upper/Lower, first for him.

Thanks for any help! Poll at the top, give response below. Thanks!! :D:D

  5. Loving the picture quality and the review in itself.

You and I are very similar. I use the balcony maybe 45-60 minutes a day. Why pay the extra $450 a person?!? I love the inside rooms, as I just use them to sleep and shower. But I would like to try an aft balcony someday ....

Really love the review. Want to try Liberty from San Juan sometime, but I sail on Glory to Nassau and St.Thomas, as well as San Juan and Grand Turk in 26 days !! St.Maarten is also on my must-see list.

Thanks so much, I'll be following this review !! Glad to see you enjoyed the vacation !

  6. One of my favorite parts of the cruise to be honest.

I enjoy cruising and trying new things. I like the small sample portions that make you feel like you're not wasting a whole meal if you don't like it. I like the elegance they put into such a small dish. it's nice strolling through there before or after dinner and at night and being able to pick up a small, elegant be delicious snack. the sushi bar on the Pride was a cart!! a no joke cart. I don't like sushi but my travel buddy at the time did, and I was amazed on why it was advertised to 3500 people when there was 1 person working it. Really love the taste bar, 27 days until I experience the glory's for the 3rd time !! (:

  7. I always cruise the last week of November-first of December. it's still hurricane season, so some tender ports in the Bahamas and Caribbean can be cancelled. Bahamas have very similar weather to Florida. If it's 70 in Florida, It's 73 in Nassau, and the water is a little cold. only gets colder as winter progresses. Cozumel, on the other hand, is 85-90 year-round. for the little extra distance and the no parking fees in Tampa, cruise the Paradise to Cozumel for 4 days, same Thursday-Monday schedule. However, you just visit Cozumel. if you have the extra time, go the 5 day to Grand Cayman as well.

There's no way you'll have a bad time on any cruise. you'll love anything you choose. Good luck and happy cruising!!!

  8. Looking at some rooms and for a 300 differnece, I thought I would consider the Upper-Lower rooms.

What are they like? Any pictures? Is there a way you can get one without the pulldown that just has the twin bed and then a couch? No specific class-type, just wondering an overall.

Any help in appreciated, thank you in advance.

  9. I have a process.

    1) Take glass-elevator (no exceptions the first time you're onboard) to the deck your room is on.

    2) Drop off stuff in room (always FTTF) Actually, ours was ready at 11:30 we just didn't make a spectacle that we weren't FTTF that ONE time. :D

    3) Change into bathing suit

    4) Head to Guy's.

    5) Find a deck chair.

    6) Boom

I tour the ship and stuff later that night. As long as I know where Guy's is and there's an open deck chair I'm set. :D

Best feeling the world is the first couple hours. Waited so long to relax, you're on a luxary boat, especially if it's hot but cold at home, god I love it. 27 days left :D:D:D:D

  10. A great way to spend the day in Ensenada is with a blowhole/bufadora tour. It is very inexpensive. Just fifteen dollars per person. Just get on the shuttle bus to town. While you are on the bus they will give you a speech about the tours they offer. There are several tours but the blowhole is our favorite. The blowhole itself is an amazing natural phenomena. There are only three in the world. The ocean setting around it is beautiful. Last time there we saw whales offshore. On the street to the blowhole there are many shops selling everything imaginable. Don't forget to bargain. Also a highlight for us is the stand where the ladies are making fresh fish tacos. They make them on handmade corn tortillas right before your eyes. They are delicious and a Baja tradition. Wash them down with an ice cold cerveza and you are good to go. Bon voyage.

Sounds like a fun day to me! Thanks :D

  11. Hello,

I was browsing for a cruise when I ran into the issue many Eastern cruisers face: take an old/ past-traveled ship to new places, or, take a new/ not-traveled ship to places youv'e been many times before. So then I came across the Imagination 4-night cruise visting Catalina and Ensenada, on the Fantasy-class, a class I woild like to travel on before they go away.

What is there to do in Catalina and Ensenada? I do plan on 3-4 days in LA before/after, but in the ports, what can I do? Or should I save my money?

Also, how is the ship? Is it nice, is it worth it? What's there onboard? We'll have an incoming HS Freshmen with us, but as long as there is the kid's group and a slide or two, he should be fine.

Thanks to anyone who can help!! Really looking to see where this goes!!
