Very important! If we want to keep our oceans, our air, our planet clean so we can keep on enjoying cruising and travelling than everyone including cruise lines need to be conscious about the environment. Maybe a little bit less wasted food and more recycling on board would be a nice start... People who take a heaping plate full of food and don't even eat it are a big pet peeve of mine....

When I cruised to Hawaii with Celebrity (15 days) in 2013 we had them daily. I also had them when I went around South America (49 days) with Princess. The cruise line does have to pay the newspaper company (the name escapes me but they make them especially for cruise ships) to have the right to print them that's why they only have them for the longer cruise... I guess RCI hasn't had them for years.. too bad cause I quite enjoyed reading them and they were super popular.... everyday they would run out...

I know some other cruise lines will do it only on longer itineraries. Thank you for answering..

This is my first transatlantic with Royal Caribbean and I was wondering if the ship prints mini newspapers from different countries like the US, Canada and Australia during this itinerary. I can live without it but it's nice to get a bit of news without having to watch tv....

we are on the same trip, and we did a similar trip in 2012 but boarded in Brazil. When we checked in Princess took our passport, gave us a receipt which we kept in the safe. A few days before disembarking we received our passports back all stamped from all the countries we visited.
Thank you... Been following the Roll call but just haven't participated in it... Coming alarmingly close and so little time left to make sure all is in order @ home during the trip..... The roll call is a great source of info..

When we went around the horn we boarded in Rio. On boarding Princess took our passports, gave us a receipt and held them. They were returned after we sailed from Lima.
They do this to make it easier for you at each port of call. Princess does all the work, you just disembark the ship. Make certain your Brazil visa is in order.
Thank you. All is in order..

We will be on the Crown sailing from Fort Lauderdale to L.A. around the horn in February. I was wondering if the ship keeps our passport (along with visa & reciprocity fees) with them or we get to keep them...
Thanks in advance for all your replies.. :)

Hi CTSRJS
I was on January 20th sailing and Silk was used for unvaccinated guests. American Icon had the Early seating and my time dining after that.
Hope this helps.
