  1. Hello all - I heard today that at Port Canaveral all bottles of wine - even corked and sealed - are opened for inspection. Does anyone know if that is true? Not sneaking on liquor - there are seven of us, and we are all bringing on Moscato. Once opened - it goes flat, and we hoping to have enough to have one bottle every day........Opening one bottle would not be a big deal - we could drink it that day, but the rest would be undrinkable.

Any help?? Anyone been thru Canaveral the last few weeks??

    Thanks!

  2. Does anyone know if the Tequila Experience by Jose Cuervo (Excursion option through Carnival) is the same as the Hacienda Antigua tour Inside Chankanaab Park ? Went on the Hacienda Antigua tour several years ago, and want to get more of that delicious blue tequila. Would rather book the excursion through cruise ship because the I really don't want to drive myself.....

  3. Booked a 7 day cruise out of New Orleans last week (3/23). Checked today, and cruise is $80.00 cheaper - and Carnival WILL NOT match their own price. I know that if I had booked Early Saver they would have, but I could not book Early Saver because the cruise is 45 days out. I know $80.00 is not a huge difference, but it annoys me that they won't match their own price. Been cruising with Carnival for many years....now thinking of switching.......did talk to a supervisor, and while they were sympathetic, there was ..."nothing they could do....."

  4. Just got off of the Dream last week, and loved every minute of it!! The main think that I loved was the abundance of OLDER people. This was my fifth cruise with Carnival, and I have never seen so many senior citizens. It was SO much better than the younger, pushy, drunk, impatient crowd that I have seen before. This was also my first seven day cruise.

I was wondering if anyone knows if the older crowd tends to book certain ships, length of cruises, or times of year. We were cruising over Valentine's Day - Cupid was actual running around the ship posing for pictures - and it was wonderful!

Does anyone have any opinions on that crowd set? Do they tend to stick to longer cruises, or certain ships, or certain tmes of year? I know that that time of year misses out on all of the spring breakers, school vacations and honeymoons........did see many anniversaries. One couple was celebrating their 67th anniversary - and they were SO much fun!!!! There was even a couple onboard that sailed the very first Carnival cruise.

  5. Help! My sister, who WAS a first time cruiser, just realized that she forgot to cash in her players bank at the casino. We were on the Dream, came back Sat., Feb. 15. What will happen to that money? Does anyone know?

    Thanks!!
