Some mini-suites do have a bathtub. We are booked in one on the 8th floor and it has a tub. It may just be the ones with larger balcony. Also the family oceanview rooms look to have a curtain divider between the bed and sofa.

In the evenings they would sometimes have fresh made crepes in the back part of the buffet.

If i am correct, you can get lobster in the MDR for an extra charge.

Thanks for all the tips. Was hoping that the MDR would be open on embarkation day, in that it would be a far calmer place than the buffet. Presumably, from your comments, it's closed?
Sailing in 8 days, yay!
The main dining room has always been open when we have cruised on Star. The staff will try and direct you to the buffet, but don't fall for it. The main dining room is quiet and you can start your vacation relaxed. It is usually in Versailles.

We booked through Resort for a Day.

Jewel is about 45 min away from port. I think Sunscape is just a little closer. We ended up going to White Sands because it is only 15 min away. We really enjoyed it and would do it again.

We are going to Falmouth in June and wanted to try an all-inclusive beach day. Has anyone been to either Jewel resort or Sunscape splash resort? Wanted to know whick one is better.

Thanks for the question. Our kids are getting older now and this was going to be the first cruise we will let them have their cards and I wondered if they would punch a hole in them for us on the boat. I thought if they use the one with a pocket there would be more chance for them to lose them.

Sorry I found the pic online somewhere and I don't remember where I saw it. I think your 4 year old should be fine up there. There is a railing so they can't roll off. My daughter first slept on an upper bunk at age 2 and she did great.

Thanks for the help everyone. I have finally found a picture of the room with the two upper bunks down. It looks tight but doable. I definitely did not want the roll away I did not like the idea of it taking up space during the day. I am afraid it may be hard after having a suite, but as long as we are on the boat we are happy. This will be my husband and mine first time on a 7 day on Princess and the kids first time on Princess.

Do you know if the MDR is closed for dinner if you are in port until 11:00?

I just booked a balcony on the Crown Princess (C519). We are a family of four and I am trying to find out how the room was set up. From the diagram it does not appear to have room for two upper berths. If anyone has pics I would love to see them. I have looked everywhere and can not find any. Also do you know if the beds can be pushed together to make a queen. Thanks

I was wondering if all the ships have Video on Demand now and if so in all rooms? We will be on the Crown in March and would love to have it. I had it on the Sapphire and really enjoyed it.

Glad to here it. I really missed the chilled fruit soups. Cruising in March hope to see them on the menu.
