When I booked Thanksgiving week on Liberty, I knew the Grand Cayman on the itinerary wasn’t happening, I wonder what they will do with that day?

When I booked I wasn’t sure if we were able to stop there or not, will be on Liberty beginning of January and wondering the same thing…where are we going instead?

  2. Gonna disagree with you slightly, this happened because the Hospital in Texas, and their workers screwed up, it had nothing to do with the CDC! Just like the nurse flying, people selfishly refused to give up their travel plans after they were near the infected! These people didn't use common sense, and put others at risk!

The CDC has done an excellent job through the years to keep the cruise industry safe!

Surely you are kidding! The hospital DID NOT provide proper protection for these nurses- they did not screw up!! A nurse can not refuse her assignment, it's against the law...but probably wanted to when they saw the flimsy gowns and masks provided! The CDC did not have a "protocol" in place to ensure that Dallas Pres was treating this pt appropriately.

By the way, the nurse called the CDC prior to flying...and was given the all clear. I wouldn't call that selfish!! Now she is paying the price and the CDC is admitting their mistakes. They may have protected the cruise industry, but I am losing faith in them by the minute!

  3. We usually book a JS and enjoy them for the space, bath, and balcony as most everyone has said. Just wondering if any of our fellow JS lovers have researched the new ships (Quantum and Anthem) and the way the JS seems to be part of a group of rooms - one inside and an outside balcony. It seems that only the Spa JS is available for a party of 2. Any ideas on the Spa suite as compared to the standard JS on the present fleet. We have never seen a JS that is double a balcony but don't spend that much time comparing. (Also love GS and OS but in that case it usually is quite a bit more expensive)

We have a "family junior suite" booked on Quantum...purely by accident. There were no regular JS available when I tried looking on line for 3 occupants. I did not want/need a group of rooms. I was about to book a normal balcony room (D1) when I found this FJS and jumped on it. It was inventory being moved online when it let me book it. It seems to be comparable to our Oasis JS, extra room, larger balcony...but I am waiting til November to find out the details first hand!

  4. We (me, husband and teenage son) had our first junior suite on Oasis and really liked it...we joked that the walk in closet was big enough to be a second bedroom! I got dressed in there a few times when the BR was occupied and I needed some privacy! We don't spend a lot of time in our room, but the larger balcony, double points and special waiting area to board the ship first were nice perks! We booked another JS on Quantum only because we found one that was cheaper than the one we got on Oasis-couldn't pass that up. Just depends on the deal you find and if you think those perks are worth that extra money!
