When will the prices start to drop? 60 days?

I am able to use frequent flier miles for my airline tickets. :)

I will be sailing with my husband and two sons ages 18 and 14. We have sailed previously on Disney, but this cruise seems to fit our schedule better and I love Venice. My husband is worried about danger at the ports. He is from a very small rural town and has only been out of the country a few times. Are these ports safe? I think this cruise might have been originally going to Ephesus which would have been amazing, but that is why he is hesitant. Most of the other Med cruises are fully booked, so I was concerned with the number of open cabins. My kids are too old for the kids' clubs so that doesn't bother me. We will also be traveling in Germany and Switzerland prior to this cruise so we will be ready for some down days.

I am thinking of booking the Rhapsody of the Seas on July 8 sailing from Venice. As far as I can tell, there are a lot of cabins open- like 30 or more in every category. Should I wait for a price drop? Also is there something I am missing about this cruise? Is it dangerous or are the ports bad? Any and all feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks so much for your quick reply. Would it be possible to request one in advance or would I need to wait and ask my room steward?

I just booked cabin 1400. Does anyone know if I can get a rollaway in that cabin? My kids don't like to sleep together if they don't have to.
