Ha ha ha, jokes on me...I switched to a nonrefundable to save $600 but something just came up a day later and I might have to cancel! [emoji24]

So if I paid in full the entire cruise, after final payment I would lose only the deposit plus $100 pp, and the remainder would be credited? After final, it doesn't matter what rate you booked. You lose the whole deposit.Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk

Thank you! That's not so bad! Just saved $629 by moving to a nonrefundable! *Happy dance* Thank you for the clarification! [emoji4]If you change ship or sail date, you lose $100pp and the remaining deposit goes to the new cruise. If you cancel, you lose $100pp and the remaining deposit is valid for another cruise for 1 year.

Hello all! My head is spinning from speaking with my travel agent....can someone please clarify what the nonrefundable booking options actually mean? The way she explained it, is after final payment if we make any changes or have to cruise at another time there is only a $100 pp penalty. That doesn't seem so bad, or am I misunderstanding? Would we lose the deposit on top of the $100 per person? Thanks in advance!

I just have to check email at least once during the cruise, so a quick few minutes on Wi-Fi should do it!

I have Verizon....When getting off the stop in various ports, can you just turn your mobile data off and use Wi-Fi through your phone and not incur charges?

Have you ever gone on a cruise with RC where it rained most of the time? What was your experience? Did they add extra shows or activities, etc.?

Thank you for all of your replies! :)

Any advice/tips for sailing out of the port of tampa? Are they tough on confiscating items such as soda or bottled water? Do they check in your wine per stateroom? Do they have seerate lines for the crown and anchor society? Do they let you board before 12? Anything else?

Type A personality here...Anxiety kicking in....I finally decided on an excursion that I wanted, and after trying to login to "my cruises" to purchase, the webpage takes me to a customer service webpage, not my reservation. Anyone else having this problem?

Thank you for the information and glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit!

I am guessing that maybe it is a new destination for the cruise sponsored excursions and that is why there may be not as many reviews 😰 guess I may have to write my own! 😝

I would not cruise if the lines allowed pets. I am as tolerant of kids as I can be, but I draw the line there 😒

Thank you for your help. I have found a YouTube video of the ruins at cahel pech and it seems beautiful, however, I cannot find reviews of cruise sponsored excursions to the site.
So from what I am understanding, is that it is about a 2 hour drive to cahel pech plus a 20 minute walk to the site, and lunch is not provided through the Royal caribbean excursion.
Xunantunich is about a 2 hour drive with lunch provided through the cruise excursion and has tall ruins that you can climb.
I would appreciate any input!

Hello there everyone! I am currently doing research for a mayan ruin excursion through the cruiseline for our upcoming cruise. I am interested in Xunatunich and Cahel Pech, however, information and reviews on Cahel Pech are very scarce. I have only found pictures online and the ruins at Cahel Pech are beautiful.
My deciding factor between the two sites would be the time it takes to drive to the ruins. Any input, reviews, or information would be much appreciated!

So maybe they are cheaper on the smaller ships? I remember them being around $8.50 on the freedom last spring, but that was before all of the price hikes.

Thank you sir! I am speaking for myself and many others, but I appreciate you always being there to politely answer the many questions that get posted here daily 😊

Upon my research, after the recent price changes, I was informed that the Drink of the day was around $8.50.... Does this still include the souvenier glass like in the past? (not getting a package, as the hubs and I are not big drinkers and have many port days....just curious as I am daydreaming about our upcoming cruise)

Had an adjoining cabin near the elevators on the freedom and was a bit worried, however, noise was not an issue for us :-)

Yogi, It is all provided by the ship. I am sure if they do it for one event, there is a pretty good chance that they do it for all. I saw what I saw, there's no other way I can explain seeing them top of the champagne glasses from the soda dispenser behind the bar and not a bottle of champagne.

Its half champagne half soda water....i saw them filling the glasses on our last cruise during the captain's reception....

Darn, I am past that. Oh well, my fault. Like someone else said, I played against the house and lost! I was 100% positive that I was going on this trip, final payment is in 8 days, and just like that, one phone call changed everything!
