There are other parking options for Port Liberty besides parking at the port. I've used premier parking. I had to wait about 10 minutes for the shuttle on the way back to the lot, but overall, it was a good experience. They were about half the price of parking at the port as well.
There are a few hotel deals out there where you can sleep and park your car there and they will shuttle you to the port. These work fine as well and I have used them. I wouldn't use these unless I needed to sleep at the hotel. If it is possible for me to arrive the day of my departure, I would rather do that because it is cheaper overall.
