  1. We bought the Cheers drink package and read that we have to pay out of pocket for our drinks day 1? Do they reimburse you the amount? We are going in a few weeks and would love if someone who cruised recently would comment. Thank you!!

Thank you all for your quick replies. [emoji41] sounds reasonable... so looking forward to sailing on the new shop!

  2. I didn't take a pic of that page of the menu but there seemed to be a few whisky choices, quite a few bourbon choices, AND various cocktails w/ whisky and bourbon (not together).

Note that lunch is included in your cruise fare (not offered embarkation day) and it's a buffet and was very good!

  3. Thanks for asking this question! I am on the Horizon in 2 weeks and was also wondering about bourbons. Glad to see they have my standby Woodford Reserve, but I'll definitely be trying out the others!

Here is another photo I came across from Guy's Smokehouse. Same list, different photo

  4. Just wanted to hear some feedback from any Horizon Havana cruisers. I know they added some additional Havana cabins to the horizon and there was a lot of speculation of the area feeling more crowded. Was hoping to get some real world feedback.

Looking forward to hearing the same feedback. We are sailing July 11th. Hoping also that the 12+ children are not too rambunctious [emoji6]

  5. My hubby and were excited to hear RC was offering the package. But when we compare it to the same on Celebrity we were disappointed. We enjoy 1-2 specialty coffees and the bottled/flavored waters which were included in the celebrity package. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase the package again if those items were included. But when we sail on the AOS in November we booked a suite and the concierge 5-8 drinks which are included will cover quite a few of our usual cocktails - so, all in all we are still on the fence. :)

  6. I want to look into reserving a cabana once I board (the website keeps telling me they are available then when I submit the request, it says to check once on board). Can someone tell me where on board the excursions desk would be, and what deck we board? Have never been on this ship. Many thanks in advance.

Hi right next to guest relations on deck 5 is the excursion desk. Not sure why its not showing on the deck plans. We were on the Ex in November and booked the cabana over the water in nellies beach. It was magnificent. They supply just water bottles in a cooler with ice. But there are 2 lounge chairs a wrap around couch and a few tables. Plenty of shade and area to sun bathe. Ours had a ladder to get into the water, some were just a couple of steps

It was well worth it and our cabana attendant was awesome. Plus you are offered a much better lunch buffet and its less crowded.

Lastly I would keep looking back on the web site because our people booked them and then change their mind. By the time you get on board I would almost guarantee they will be gone!

    Enjoy!!!

  7. LICRUISEAHOLICS & Flowers44, when do you set sail? Before May 2013... would love to see some new pictures!

Hi. We are sailing November 15th of this year. I will definitely take pictures and post them for you. We love getting cabanas on other islands too because you have a place to keep your stuff, get out of the sun and or rain (been in the rain scenario a few times for a passing shower) and you can enjoy lunch or snacks minus the sand. You can always grab a lounge nearby and get all the sun and enjoy the ocean. For us, it is well worth the price of admission! :)

  8. This was an "over the water" cabana for your reference:

(At least it was sold to us as "over the water." We loved it, BTW!)

Okay thanks for the pic. Well, I was hoping for "over" the water. But they sure look nice. If I may ask one question. I heard that the buffet offered with these cabanas is the same as the buffet for the barefoot suite guests (shrimp, steak etc.) is this correct? :)

  9. So are you sure these are really "over water" Nellies cabanas, because I have always been inder the impression thay these are hillside Nellies (as the are set so far back from the water on the hill amongst the trees with little sun exposure; have zero interest in these locations). To be honest we only booked/dropped the $$$ on this cabana with the idea that we would be in one of the cluster 4 truly over water cabanas on the opposite side of the beach, and if there is a chance that we are not in one of these then we may very well have to cancel...:(

I see your point. We just cancelled the hillside and booked the over the water because we 1) saw pic of cabanas literally over the water and 2) the name does imply it. Now that I have seen so many pics on this site with the narration on the pics ( btw, thank you to the OP) it looks like the over water ones are only at barefoot ( for suites) I understand the pic was at lowtide, but the flight of stairs clearly shows ( to me anyway) its high above the water but also pushed back on land quite a bit. :(.
