Group of 14 of us from Windsor, ON Canada. Myself, my husband, my 2 girls 17 and 11, my Mom, my Sister, BIL, The Bride and Groom and their daughter -age 11(our neighbours) their Best Man and Maid of honour, and another couple.

After the wedding in the Piano Bar, we are on Vacation- hoping to pop out of our wedding attire like a busted can of Pillsbury crescent rolls and watch the Superbowl under the stars.....

This is going to be a special cruise for my family. It is my best friends destination wedding (after living with the love of her life for the last 21 years-lol), and since she doesn't have any family she asked if any of my family would want to come?

My Mom is 78 and has had a truly hard life. Supported me, my sister and my deadbeat drunken abusive cheating father (dead now) on her minimum wage job by herself. I could never figure out how she managed financially, but we always had food, clothes, a warm house, presents at birthdays and Christmas and unconditional love.

She has not been on a vacation in 54 years, so my sister and I paid for her cruise and flight.

So in addition to my Mom, we have my Sister, awesome brother in law and best friends and their daughter, my husband, our 2 girls (age 16 and 11) and a few other friend that were able to attend the wedding.

SUPER excited to have everyone I love in this world on the same ship

88 DAYS and I get to watch my Mom chill out on a chaise lounge, with tropical drink in hand in the middle of the gorgeous blue Caribbean- that will be the best thing I have EVER done on a cruise

I'm on the Breeze January 30 so will be going on when you and the OP are coming off LOL

:D another item to check off bucketlist! :D We will be boarding our cruise on SUPERBOWL SUNDAY !! Really hoping to see my PACKERS playing!! What can I expect ? Im pretty sure they will have it on the big screen but do they do anything else ? :D

Got an email from Carnival today, to go from Balcony Deck 6 mid-ship to Balcony Deck 11 mid-ship for $40.00 total ($20.00 per person)

............................and I can't take it...........:(:eek::mad:

Will be on the Breeze Feb 7 for a wedding and our party (6 cabins)are all on Deck 6 with my kids directly across the hall from my room

The Bride would be ticked and my kids would be unsupervised (age 16 and 11)

I know I will probably never get an offer again, so I am a little bummed

Are you sure mom wants to be in a small inside cabin with 3 kids? Just sayin !!

She will be splitting her nights between our cabin and my sister and BIL's cabin, and yes possibly a night with the kids (age 11, 11 and 16- all girls)

We are just booking her in the interior because it was the cheapest fare. Can't afford the single supplement ( I can just afford her cruise and flight)

I find this very interesting because at the $1738 rate 3rd & 4th guests are $179 base rate + $123.08 taxex/fees for a total of $302.08.

 

Did you book early saver by chance? Because the math isn't adding up and you may actually be due some onboard credit.

The rate was $419 per person based on dbl occ, then a 3rd added which lowered the base I'm sure- total $1738.00 taxes in for 3- yes it was early saver.

Think it depends upon how the cabin was booked.

We have a 6 assorted cabins booked for a cruise this winter, and my Mom has hinted now that she might consider going (was adamant before she did not want to go)

We currently have 3 people (kids) in an interior stateroom for a total price of $1602.00 (taxes in)

I am looking at adding my Mother into that room and when I do a mock booking for 4 people in the room (same everything) the price is $1738.00 (taxes in).

Does this mean that I can bring my mother on this cruise for a difference of only$136.00????

I always book directly through Carnival.com but just use the US pricing and let my credit card do the converting of the exchange

Asking for a friend....wedding is booked on the cruise for 1pm in one of the lounges. The bride is wondering if its possible to get her hair done before the wedding in the Spa?

Any brides out there with any experience or tip for weddings on board (for the Salon or otherwise) would be appreciated

Being a Canadian- I cruise to get way from the cold weather. So Jan/Feb is our preferred time. I have cruised in November too and it was lovely.

I wouldn't worry about hurricane season too much...that's one of the beautiful things about cruising- "Hurricane?- let sail around that!!"

I got a $50.00 OBC about a month ago. It was a sale that gave you $50.00 OBC if you booked Early Saver. There is currently another sale/promotion for $50.00 OBC for early saver. Would I be eligible for that as well?

We took our kids - (5yrs and 10yrs at the time) on a 4 night Imagination cruise. We had no problems with drunkards except one.

On our 3rd day out by the Lido pool, this "Lady" in her early 20's wearing a scrap of a bikini was being happily mauled by 3 "gentlemen" all under the pretense of gettin' their groove on (lap dance).

One young man had his hand inside the bottom of her bikini (FRONT of the bottom), and one had his hand inside the top of her bikini, while she was sitting and grinding on the third young man.

My kids noticed, so we left the Lido area and as I walked by YELLED "Your parents would be so proud!" Went and complained to security. Never did find out what happened.

Other than that one event it was a lovely cruise with well behaved people.

Cruising in Feb /16 on the Breeze for my friends wedding - she's getting married on the ship before we leave port.

For anyone who's been married onboard, was the hair salon open early? If not, any recommendations on where to get hair done close to port?

I called Carnival, they had put the pre-paid tips on the kids booking in error.

They offered to remove them ASAP, but since I've already paid in full I left it alone.

How many kids and did either cabin have a price adjustment and not the other? Or at different times?

There are 3 kids in the room, booked at the same time, but separate booking numbers, no price drops or adjustments on either booking.

We are booked on the Feb 7/16 Breeze.

My kids (interior) are across the hall from DH and I (balcony).

Can anyone tell me why the balcony room taxes, port expenses and fees are $123.00 pp, but the kids interior room has taxes, port expenses and fees are $195.00 pp?

Yes I know I can call Carnival, but rather than be on hold.....thought I would check with all of you knowledgeable people first! :)
