  1. Kind of like the blimp they tested on Oasis. It didn't end well. 😱

I did notice the ugly rock wall us still there. What a shame.

I'm on her on 50 days. Were changes updated to the decor in the rooms? I have an interior (because I'm have kids, so I'm poor). I'd be thrilled if they decided to add Virtual Balconies, but I'm guessing they probably didn't.

  2. I was hoping for the Ultimate Abyss, maybe a Flowrider, a zipline, bumber cars or iFly during dry dock. Now I have no idea where they would put any of these items, but it'd make Majesty pretty cool. And it's not my job to figure out where they would go.

I guess maybe we can just settle for parasailing off the back.

(For those in CruiseCritic that miss sarcasm, this post is full of it. I realize there is no possiblity for these items on Majesty, well except the parasailing, that'd be something I'd be interested in them investigating.)

  3. Shareholders for these publicly traded companies are more focused on making money than delivering something special.

Evil shareholders... I know on a daily basis at my job I think, thank goodness I'm not making more money, just as long as I'm delivering something special.

They are delivering something special, it just may not included everything you would like. But such is a free market. If enough people stop cruising, then the something specials will come back. As mentioned there are other (smaller) lines that deliver "something special", but I also believe they are catering to a different demographic. They also have shareholders to account to. That's why they are priced more for their extras.

  4. I'm far from a kid. I'm 38. My wife loves cruises because I'm forced off the grid and won't deal with work. (Although, I do go sneak up to the library to get on the internet and check my work email, because I just need to know what's happening while I'm gone).

I agree that Snapchat is a problem with the youth and that this really isn't a huge deal, I really just posted for some laughs.... although that airplane mode snapping thing is a really good idea and I might have to try it out on land.

And I can't let someone take over my streaks. Haven't you seen the news about what Snapchat is used for? (I don't use it for that, again, going for the jokes)

  5. Ok, maybe the title was a bit dramatic, but I'm on a current streak (I've sent someone a Snapchat every day)that will hit a year about the time I go on my cruise. I'm debating on if I should get the Voom package or not. I mean is $100 worth all the Snapchats I'll get? Does Majesty Of The Seas even have real internet, or is it just a long phone cable that runs behind the boat from Port Canaveral.

(This post is more of a vent/silly post, going for the giggles here. I do love Cruise Critic, and sometimes it just needs a little lightening up.)

  6. Poor girl. Where was it posted, on the in room TV? If so that is horrible. I know they do like showing wipeouts, and during the quick editing someone may have missed she lost her suit. Just an FYI. The cruise contract you sign (and usually any contract has verbiage like this) allows them to take pictures and use them anywhere they see fit.

  7. It looks like this question hasn't been asked recently and the last thing I can see is from January of this year.

My favorite place besides the Flowrider on the FOS is the Karaoke Booths across from the OnAir club. Last I read they were not working due to vandalism. Does anyone from a recent sailing know if these are back in working order. Also please don't break my heart with, "They have been permanently closed", or "These have been removed". (If that has happened I will show my displeasure by going to the pool deck early in the morning and reserving 4 chairs pool side I have no desire to sit in at all during the day.)

  8. Cap-Haitien (CAP) is a much better choice for an airport, IF, BIG IF, they allow people to join from Labadee. That drive is an hour as compared to Port au Prince (6 hours). As others have mentioned Falmouth might be the option you have to chose. Labadee a guarded, cement walled, vacationer haven (sorry to put it so blunt)

  9. As mentioned through out the thread, they really open up when you are interested in them. Our last trip we had my 4 yr old and they became best friends. Our RA was always trying to get my son to save a seat at dinner or the show for her.

As for towel animals, usually in the morning we will place the towel animal in a funny situation. Reading a book, watching TV, etc. We also "feed" the towel animal money (tip), and that goes a long way also.
