Roccoforte

In Roatan the beaches are beautiful and there were lots of taxis available to take you there without booking an excursion. In Belize, because the city isn't particularly safe, we booked an excursion to the ruins. It was long ride on a bumpy, lumpy bus. The ruins were great and fun to see but not sure I would do that again. In Cozumel I checked Trip Advisor and found a car and driver who took us on an island tour with stops at the chocolate factory, historical sites and a beautiful beach for lunch and lounging. Reasonable and great, attentive driver. Best day of the cruise! Enjoy!

So I just tried to make a reservation for 4 at the British Colonial Hilton for the beach day pass. They are sold out the day the Pride is in Nassau in September. Bummer! I called Malia Resort to get info. They said you don't have to reserve ahead - just come to the desk when you arrive. Has anyone been there? How is it?

In Port Canaveral from 7:00 to 6:00. Been to Disney, Epcot etc. several times - so this trip we're going to Kennedy Space Center. The ships excursion looks convenient - I think we'll enjoy it.

Thanks for all of your responses! I've booked Port Canaveral but I'm waiting for Nassau and Freeport. All we really want to do is find a nice beach with palm trees and a nice place for lunch. Maybe a resort hotel that allows day guests? The Atlantis sounds like too much of a hassle and too expensive for what we want and after reading reviews none of the ships excursions appeal to me. We might just walk around the port areas and then spend the rest of the day at the Serenity deck.

The BC Hilton has turned people away who have not booked beach passes ahead. Could be dependent on the number of ships in port that day.

Is it safe to wait until I'm on the ship to book excursions? Do they sell out prior to sailing? Sailing in September and I want to wait to see what the weather looks like.

What are our chances of getting a table for four. Traveling with DH who has hearing problems. Uncomfortable at a large table. Also with our son and DIL.

Is using a blue tooth or any other type of speaker allowed on your balcony? I hate to have to listen to someone else's choice of music but I know of people who think they're entitled to play music anywhere anytime. I want my balcony to be peaceful and quiet. Any rules about this?

PLEASE don't play your music outside. I live in a small condo community and nothing is more annoying than being forced to listen to someone else's music.

It's rude! Just don't do it. That's why we have earphones and earbuds.

There are lots of nice combination hand cream/sanitizer products on the market. Gold Bond makes one guaranteed to kill 99.99% of germs and it's a nice smooth moisturizer. I always keep it in my purse. It pays to be careful!
