  1. I just did this last year. it is very easy!

You get off the ship and take the shuttle to the shops, follow other passengers through the little plaza with shops. Step out onto the street, turn left. Follow the sidewalk all the way down to the end of the road and there is a parking lot at the end, a very slight left. About 1/2 mile.  It was 50 pesos per person, round trip. I paid in US Dollars so like 2.50 per person.

It was seriously our favorite port in Mexico. We found a great spot early in the morning. Had four lounge chair with umbrellas and ate and drank like kings and queens for 6 hours for a about 100.00 (4 of us). I also found it to be the best place to buy gifts for people. Way cheaper than cabo and pv. easier to get it back to the ship too.

I believe last year was the first in a long hiatis that cruise ships started going back to Mazatlan. We will see how much any of this has changed with more people going. I am hoping nothing changes. Would love to hear from anyone who has travel more recently.

This video was great. He videos himself taking the whole trip to the ferry.

  2. Kurtmo- I am glad you asked this question. I've been doing research and there are not a lot excursion choices. It seems to me that this port in recently being added back as stop. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. I have been researching resorts that allow for day passes. I will be very interested in the responses to your inquiry. I'm going end of march so I may have spring breakers to contend with.
