  1. You mentioned about the tips and not seeing it mentioned anywhere, but if you check post #7 on the first page of this thread, you'll see MSC recommends not tipping individuals. It is found in the photo at the very bottom left of the daily under the "Service Charge" section. Not saying I agree with that policy, however they do put that recommendation in writing.

I think they meant instead if the daily service charge instead of in addition to

  2. I am enjoying your review. I can honestly say, this is the most beautiful ship I have seen, but one I would never sail. It seems to be missing the fun factor, the statues are not really family friendly, and the food and service seem mediocre.

Two suggestions got your review, some of your text does not correlate to the photo, and please don't overuse the illustration mode. I know you love it, and knew or two pictures are nice, but those photos don't really add anything yo the review.

I appreciate your thoughtful and indepth reviews...especially the Breakaway one, which was invaluable to me before my breakaway cruise last year.

  3. Thanks for the detailed review!! Pay attention people.... THIS is how to write a review. Short, direct and to the point:)

I dont mind paying $49 for Ocean Blue if the food is good. But SO disappointed you cannot even buy side dishes. It is crazy to spend so much for dinner and drinks and leave hungry :(

You have right to feel "nickel and dimed" when there are lots of extras and you dont mind paying but feel betrayed because the VALUE is not there. You should not feel ashamed to use that phrase (although the NCL cheerleaders will be up in arms). We are big spenders on cruises and eat at specialty restaurants most nights, drink and pay for most extras. And sometimes we feel nickel and dimed too :(

I agree with you. Reviews should not be dragged out longer than the time you actually spent on the ship. This one was great!

  4. Thank you so much or the pictures of he accessible ocean view. I ill be in one on June 30. You may not have any pics, but could you give me any feedback on the bathroom. Are there plenty of grab bars. Is the floor non slip?

Also...and please remember I am a first time cruiser who will be using a scooter. I have a few questions

    1. Is it always so windy and noisy outside?

    2. Why are there glass Dividers to disrupt the traffic flow

    3. When you get to the end, how do you get around the chess set

I am sure to have more questions...as always, thank you

    Warmly,

    Carolyn:o

  5. I know this is a lot to ask of you, but would you mind asking one of the scooter people what challenges they have faced. I am a first time disabled cruiser and :)will be using a scooter on the ship. I would like to prepare myself before my 6/30 cruise. I am staying in n accessible ov cabin by myself (5138). Could you ask them if it is easy to get in and out of the room if you are by yourself, or will I have to find someone to open the door for me TIA :)
