  1. We will be in Aruba in about a month.....this will be my 3rd time but we will have the grandbabies on this trip.

What are the best beaches for kids ages 9, 5 and 14 months?

I will take any suggestions other than beaches also.

    Thank you!

  2. Please tell me your experience with this Tour Company...I am looking at the North Coast Safari tour or Natural Pool Safari.

Thank you ...I appreciate any info you can give me.

  3. We will be in St Thomas next week (we have been there many times) on a cruise & want to go to a nice uncrowded beach.

Things to be factored into the decision:

We do not get into port until 11:00 (this is my biggest concern...therefore wouldn't mind a lesser known beach)

Our ship is sold out...one of the Spring break weeks.

We have a 7 and almost 4 yr old that will be with us.

    Need shade, chairs

    Good snorkeling

We don't mind an out of the way beach...as long as transportation is reasonable.

Thank you so much for any help you can give me!!

We have been to Sapphire, Coki (3 times) & Magen's Bay but all have been very crowded.

  4. Looking at a short cruise to get our last 2 days for Platinum & thought we would take the 3 yr old grandbaby.

    1) Does the Fantasy have the sofa area with the Oceanview cabins? All the OV cabins we have had so far on the other Carnival ships has had this extra space.

    2) Does the Fantasy have refrigerators in the cabins?

    3) Where is the best area/deck to look for a cabin on this class ship?

    Thank you in advance!!

  5. I was needing to ask almost this same question.....

We need 2 days to be Platinum...so are you saying if I book a 7 day cruise that when we check in we are considered Platinum & will get the priority boarding etc? And will be considered Platinum from the beginning of that cruise?

    Thank you!!

  6. Has anyone rented (recently) a golf cart from either of these vendors? What are your thoughts? I noticed that Wet Money has Jeeps for the same price....which would you go with?

    Thanks for any help!!

  7. ...and yes I did a search but not much info.

Have you rented one poolside & how was your experience? I am trying to find out more about the zip line that is included in the poolside cabana also? Is it something adults would enjoy or more for kids? What do you actually *zip* over?

Thank you for any info you have!

  8. Glad to help.

There was a tv, but it was all Spanish channels that we saw so we didn't have it on.

The internet was my biggest complaint. We couldn't really connect unless we were at the edge of our deck. Once there, though, it was a good connection. I will mention that we did bring this up to the GM when he visited us. He seemed to want to fix it immediately. He left, came back and then asked us to try again. It still didn't work inside, but he said they were going to fix that immediately. They probably just needed a signal booster or something like that. He did then give us his business card and told us where his office was if we wanted to utilize his internet! :D I did try to utilize the wifi for a video skype call, but couldn't connect (even while on deck) so there might be some restrictions on the connection. BUT, we did have a villa (one of those big house type cabanas) on HMC and I don't recall getting internet there, so this was a nice plus anyway.

Thank you so much for the info!! I am sitting here today so close to booking a poolside cabana :) Can you please tell me more about the zip lines? How many lines? Is it just zipping over the pool area? I just don't want to tell my family wrong !

  9. What would be the best beach for a 5 yr old & a 18 month old? Is there a good beach for them that would also have good snorkeling or should we stick with Seven Mile Beach & not worry about the snorkeling?

Also, would we need to book a tour if we just wanted to go to the Turtle Farm or would we just be able to grab a cab or van? Price?

Thank you for all the help!!

  10. Took my kids to Playa Mia and they loved it. There is a large pool that is specifically for the 5 and under kids. There are also two water slides that your older one might like. The beach is nice and you can take the older one out to an inflatable obstacle course (they will give each of you a life vest, they are required) that my kids couldn't get enough of.

They serve typical buffet food (beans, rice, french fries, etc.) and drinks are included. My kids had virgin pina coladas and thought they were fantastic.

When we went it was a very quiet crowd. We were there in early May and it wasn't crowded and no one overindulged in the alcohol. There were plenty of chairs and umbrellas. Not sure what the crowd would be like during a school holiday.

I am so afraid of the more popular places due to it being a school holiday...don't mind being with people but do not want to go to a place that is maxed out. Thank you... I will check into this.

  11. Hi Cruisers....

We are going on another cruise the week of Thanksgiving but this time we will have our 2 grand daughters with us...age 5 and 18 months old. Can you please give me suggestions? Hubby & I have been many times to Cozumel but I am hoping some of you that have taken small children have suggestions. Plus keep in mind this is the week of Thanksgiving...would love to avoid the packed out places.

    Thank you!!
