  1. Kilili,

Was on the liberty 3 weeks ago. Both my wife and I had the drink package. We ordered pretty much whatever we wanted and never paid extra. We paid extra for a Logo glass once.

Also, if you order a cocktail, don't just order a cocktail. They will use the cheap booze if you do. For example, when I wanted a vodka cranberry, I ordered a Grey Goose with cran. Get your moneys worth.

We've bought a drink package for the first time, great tip, thanks!

  2. Hi! We've cruised a few times with Royal Caribbean and always prepaid gratuities, in October we are thinking of doing it in cash as it seems more personal and will actually reflect the service we receive. Our waiters were great last time but the state room attendant was terrible.

We come from England though where we rarely tip! So here's my question, how do you do it? All at the end of the week? Or for every service? Also how do you tip the MDR staff I heard people get envelopes at the end of the week or do you just leave cash on the table?

I don't really want to stiff anyone out of money or offend anyone so advice is greatly received!

  3. Hi! I suffer from generalised anxiety disorder and am on that exact same cruise! We cruised for the first time last year and it was great. I found the reassurance of having a familiar base to return to was excellent, cruising from the uk you have no flights etc to organise which is nice.

We are traveling down the night before and staying in a Premier Inn and leaving our car there so I won't have flight cancellations and late trains to stress about!

The food choice is great and very flexible so I know if I don't eat anything when we are in port there is always something I will enjoy back on ship and I can plan out a variety of excursions for the ports in advance. Cruise Critic is ideal in providing info for this.

Spend the next few months enjoying your planning and buying new outfits. Message me if you'd like any specific info.

    :)
