We have the Holland America credit card through Barclays bank. I have two questions:
1. if we use the points to buy the Holland America wine card it seems to imply it’s not good in the main dining room. Does anyone have any experience with this issue?
2. One of the ways to use the points we have accumulated is what is supposed to be a Silverado Cabernet. But the photograph is of an opus one. Does anyone know which Wine we will get? -

If you book one of the hotels near the pier, ask for a room facing the water. If you get a room facing inland you will face the railroad tracks. There are trains all night long.

I can’t find any details on how much laundry we are allowed if we are in a Pinnacle suite on the Oosterdam. Please help

We had called ahead to My Way Lisbon, but no one at curb. No one to help with luggage. Had to struggle to small waiting room inside. There was a phone but no instructions as to what number to call. Wish we had had your experience. We were there 3 weeks ago.

If you are thinking of cruising to Lisbon, please know that the cruise ship folks are not allowed to push wheelchairs into the cruise terminal. They must stop at the base of the gangway. You have to wait for local assistance. We sat for almost 30minutes in the cold and rain.
If flying out ofLisbon be aware there are NO curbside porters at the airport. If you need a wheelchair you must walk into the terminal pickup a phone and try to get someone to bring a chair. Horrible situation

Never mind. Found the earlier discussion.

Celebrity also failed miserably on the busses from the ship to Dublin airport. We told them we needed to go to Terminal one. ALL the busses went to Terminal two. Took almost an hour to get wheelchair assistance to get from Terminal 2 to Terminal one. Shame on Celebrity.:(

It is horrible. We had two hours to make a connection. Barely made it. 20 minutes spent at airplane jet a way discussing which chair to use. Long way to security. Elevators only hold 1 chair at a time. Taken to a bus stand. Waited 10 minutes for a bus. Bus to other terminal. Waited while pusher took passports and boarding passes to the gate. 20 minutes later taken by lift truck to the plane parked outside at remote stand. Lifted up to rear door of plane. But passengers coming in front door. Had to work to our seats through crowd.
15 days later, different direction, similar problems. Two hours wasted. Beware CDG.

I have difficulty with tall stairs or steps. Can anyone tell me what it is like getting on or off busses, trains or trams in Dublin. Thanks

Has anyone ever had problems bringing 2 bottles of wine into Canada to take on a DCL cruise?
-
There were 3 formal nights but I would guess only about 50 percent of the passengers partcipated.
-
I would call RCC directly and tell them you need to change cabins.
-
You got bad info from RCC. We just got off a 2 week cruise on RCC. I walk with a cane. We booked an accessible ccabin without problem. Booked it online.

We are considering a cruise that has a shore excursion to the Copper Canyon. My wife and I have problems on big stairs. What is it like getting on the train? How about the bus that goes from the ship to the train?
-
I am not sure about wheelchair ramps. The buses from the ship to the terminal were old. While they had spaces for wheelchairs once on board, I never saw them put one out even though a number of us were having trouble getting on.
The city buses were even taller. sigh
The cruise itself was great. Glaciers, penguins, seals birds. Great trip!

We fly home tomorrow. From our downtownn hotel to the sirport in a private car will be $29. A bit less in a taxi

Because Buenos Aires is a working port you can not get near the ship on your own. You check in at a passenger terminal. Long long walks, no wheel chairs. Once you check in and clear security there is a walk to the port run busses that take you from the cruise terminal to the ship. The buses cannot kneel and the step up to the bus can be very high. They tend to load the busses very full, sardine like. At the ship the gangway may be very steep.
-
Odd, very odd. As Buenos Aires is a working port you must get off the ship and get onto a shuttle bus. While the busses have handicap spaces, they can not kneel and the step up can be steep. At the port terminal no wheelchairs at all. There are helpful porters. Get your luggage, stand in line for xray. But with a porter you go in a much shorter line
Outside a zoo. Long line for taxis but if you pay extra you can get one immediately from the dispatcher. They approached us, felt odd jumpng the line
Our iPad woke us an hour early as it adjusted forCalif daylight savings time. Sigh
-
Aerial show cancelled because the ship was rocking too much in the heavy seas. You did not miss it.
-
Ipad OS up to date
We paid for two devices
Same location. Hers works. Mine balks. Sigh.
-
we are on Rhapsody right now. My wife's IPad mini works fine, if a bit slow(as is true for this ship) My IPad 2 keeps stalling. I have to often sign off the network and then sign back on. Guest services no help. Can't talk to I T staff. Anyone run into this? Any thoughts"

Some passengers are convinced that we were not pinned to the pier by the wind but there was an engine problem that they did not want to tell us about. One German passenger reportedly saw engine parts being taken off and returned hours later. I do not believe it but it is amazing what people come up with.
Tip: make sure you know your health coverage by your insurance company or health care provider before you leave home. It can save having to make $$$ international phone calls about coverage

4 pm. Still trapped. Can feel thrusters straining to break us free
410 pm looks like the nose is turning into the wind.
Free at last!
Wine questions
in Holland America Line

The language which left me confused, is as follows:
“The Holland America Line $50 Beverage Credit allows you to enjoy our finest wines and signature cocktails along any other of your favorite drinks in our beautiful bars and lounges. Redemption appears as stateroom credit on your onboard account.”
Since it doesn’t mention the main dining room, I was concerned
