Last December, NCL adjusted the current and previous cruises of the Pride of America to make them six-day voyages (20-26 Apr and 28 Apr-4 May) and allow for a two-day maintenance break.  According to cruisemapper.com, after disembarking her passengers last Friday, the PoA was moved to a drydock at Pearl Harbor.  She went into the drydock around noon on Friday and came out very early (about 2 AM) on Sunday morning, arriving back at her Honolulu dock about 9 AM.  Presumably the next set of passengers were embarked and she set sail as usual around 7 PM.  But then at about 9 PM she turned back towards Honolulu and arrived back there a bit after 10 PM.  Don’t know if they forgot something or had another issue, but she soon departed again a bit after 11 PM and arrived as usual in Kahului around 7:30 Monday morning.  Perhaps some passengers aboard the current sailing can provide some insight.

Since we are booked on the next sailing this Saturday, I certainly hope everything is fixed.

They are already advertising their CYBER MONDAY sale with 50% off all cruises.  Supposed to end at 11 pm Eastern time Monday.  But we all know what will happen.....

That means they only have to actually have one cabin on one cruise on one ship at 40% off to satisfy the offer.  And NCL won't even tell you the port fees and taxes until you are ready to purchase.

She is supposed to be doing a RT cruise to Hawaii out of Seattle.

Preparing for a recent PoA cruise, I submitted my picture without glasses as instructed; didn’t really look like me.  Upon boarding, they wanted and took another picture WITH glasses.  My passport picture has glasses but being the PoA Hawaii cruise, immigration was not involved.

Obviously ship dependent.  Just of the Pride of America Hawaii cruise a couple of weeks ago.  The only Scotch in the basic package was Dewar's White Lable at $10.  No Johnnie Walker of any color aboard the ship. 😤😬

Premium package only included Chivas Regal 12 Yrs Old and Glenmorange Original Single Malt at $20 and Glenfiddich Select at $25.

Was on the Pride of America two weeks ago and the only scotch in the standard package was Dewars White Label.  😒

No Johnnie Walker of any color available on the ship.☹️😲😢

Hopefully no one will brag about Princess violations of local laws which could cause them issues with authorities.  

Rooms are cabins/staterooms.  Floors are decks.  Large boats are ships.

Doing research for an upcoming NCL cruise I discovered, as many others have, that there is no compilation of the cruise review data.  While not a full compilation, this is my attempt to index the reviews to make it easier to find specific ships and cabins.  As with most eyeball-to-fingertip efforts such as this, there is probably a typo or two, for which I apologize, but I tried to be especially careful with cabin numbers, thread pages and review entries numbers.

The data is currently sorted by ship name, then by stateroom number.  So, once you’ve found the ship and stateroom, go to the indicated page and scroll down to find the specific entry, shown in the upper right corner.

The Alaska cruises out of San Francisco are 10 or 11 days.  7 days out of Seattle and Vancouver.

The white ones are more exclusive.  As stated, they signify the inaugural season for the Discovery.  We were also on the first two cruises.  Not sure when the "season" officially ends...probably when they run out of white ones.

October 2018 aboard the Emerald Princess, on a Hawaiian cruise RT from Vancouver.

Checking the dual-occupancy interior cabins prices upon which the 60 cruises under $60 per day offer is based, most went up by $1.  Of the ten examples they pre-advertised, eight went up $1, one went up a bit more and one went down a bit.  Not much of a sale.  ☹️  

For two west coast cruises this past year, we've flown in to LAX with very early arrivals, around 6-7 AM.  Assuming the Princess transfers will start around 10, we've estimated boarding at 11.  Arrived at LA port, we were immediately put into the security line and then in processed and aboard soon afterward.  No one asked about boarding groups.  Of course, being Elite and in the Green line probably didn't hurt.  🙂

More like a Promenade Alley, and it doesn't go all the way around.

I got the impression that it was the ongoing connection to the original series that prompted the thread, not the "Real Love Boat" show, but I could be wrong.

That was my initial impression also.  The Love Boat connection probably doesn’t resonate much with younger people, for us old timers the nostalgia is there.

Hearing the dueling horns of a Disney ship and the Discovery Princess playing their respective theme music in San Diego last March was fun.

And we do watch The Love Boat reruns on the cabin TV.
