  1. Hi!

Since, it was just me, I just got a taxi. It was quick and convenient.

Arriving Miami Airport domestic and looking for the cheapest way

for ONE PERSON to get to the Port of Miami...

cruise transfer seems like a hassle and waiting game,

I've heard that cabs are flat $26 +tip

I arrive close to noon, so I can't believe somebody else might want to share

a cab to the port from the airport at that time, but Ive never done this before

    solo...

    anybody? THANK YOU :)

  2. Yes, its true. It gets dark early. My last time there in August, we were there overnight. Frankly, the closest place to the port at night is Senor Frogs and another pub. I just didn't feel comfortable going there at night. It was approx 830-9pm. My sister also told me that Senor Frogs had a different vibe during that time as well. She, along with a friend, were brave enough to go.

I would say see if they have a 1/2 day pass, take another tour or spend time at a free beach. I'm heading that way on wednesday and I'm going to take advantage of Atlantis' 1/2 day pass.

Believe it or not, in Nassau we port at 1:00 p.m. and deport at midnight in February...seems a day pass won't be worth it? Apparently it gets dark approximately 5:30 p.m., what to do in port til midnight? Will be 2 girls, my daughter (18) and myself....

    Is it safe at night?

    What could be some options?

Scubagirl and others- I need some help with this one please!

This will be our 1st time there,

    Thanks so much!!

  3. Yeah they have some great solo rates. I'm booked for the Sensation 10/31 and Imagination 11/29. My 1st solo was in August. I had a blast!:)

There are a few cruises i am contemplating mid-Oct. One is a 4-night out of Miami that goes to Key West and Cozumel. $149 plus taxes for an inside. Anyone else?
  4. Lisa,

I'm not sure how Matt found out about Carson, probably from personal experience. I'm not sure when you're cruising but Carson responded to my email. Unfortunately, he's not available for our 9/19 arrival. The driver I usually use when i stay in Barbados recommended Patsie Nurse. She's with J&P Taxi services. She can be reached at patsietaxi@hotmail.com.

  5. As I've been to Barbados a few times, I know a couple of sites I would like to show my friend. They include Sandy lane area, holetown bathsheba, oistins area, north point and end at pebble beach. Then have the driver take us back to the ship. Does anyone have any recommendations for a driver? If so, can you provide contact info? The one I've used in the past number is no longer valid. Also, I attempted to contact Cameron reid and no response. Thanks
