  1. Thanks Brian, I found the old forum thread and the link you posted but it's a little vague. I mean, it doesn't specifically say you can't pay the balance with them, though it does say you can't add more tokens 'later', so maybe that's the answer to my question.

I have messaged P&O on Twitter to see if I can get it from the horse's mouth. Not to worry, I'll just have to save up my points to use against the next one when we book.

  2. Does anyone know if converted Tesco vouchers can be used to pay the balance of your cruise? The remainder of our summer cruise (booked direct with P&O on board last year) is due in in a few months. At the time of booking I didn't know Tesco vouchers could be used against P&O but I'm wondering, if we pay the balance over the phone, can we use the converted Clubcard voucher codes towards the payment? Or is it only for deposits? I can't seem to find a definitive answer and I don't want to convert them only to find that they can't be used at that point.

We don't have a great deal to convert but, as they say, every little helps and, once I know how the process works I will certainly make more of an effort to accumulate points for future cruises.

    TIA

  3. Apologies for resurrecting a dormant thread but could someone point me in the right direction for finding out who is likely to captain a ship at certain time/on certain voyages. Captain Turnbull performed my marriage ceremony on Aurora in 2012 and, as we're back on her this summer it would be the icing on the (anniversary!) cake if he is also on board. Only just found out that he was taken ill last year, so pleased to hear he made a good recovery.

  4. Thanks for the info everyone. I guess it is an oversight in allocating my husband the correct status from our P&O cruise - I wouldn't even have considered that P&O sailings counted otherwise. Will make sure I have the right documents and see if we can sort it when we have a quiet afternoon on board.

  5. *waves* Hullo all!

I'm a long time forum lurker, but I finally have a question to ask that I can't find the answer already posted.

I sail on the Emerald in a fortnight, this will be my 4th cruise but my 1st with Princess. I was filling in the Cruise Personaliser when I noticed that I am listed as 'Princess Captain Circle - Gold' but my husband is 'Princess Captain Circle - Blue'. I'm a tad confused by this as I have never sailed with Princess before and, even if I had been allocated 'points' for sailing with Princess' sister company P&O (which I don't think is the case), surely my husband would be at the same level because (barring my first cruise as a teen) we always travel together.

Any ideas? Perhaps just an error at the travel agents?

I don't think either of us is going to significantly benefit/miss out either way but it has had me scratching my head.

    Thanks :-) .
