  1. Cabin (not cabib!)

I called Holland America...came on there normal letter head.. I think it is legit...just a few dates in the caribbean Feb/March...comes from the "Casino Host , that should tell you something.

We have taken one cruise with them, I guess the promotion is too bring people like us back to the line, cabin is inside with upgrades available.

Just looking on the website some of the 7 day caribbean are going for $199

on short notice, I have noticed all of the lines give deals like that to Florida residents, too many ships down there.

We are long time Celebrity cruisers, but there pricing is getting a little much for us.

I will find out more when I call for a booking this weekend.

  2. We will be in Kobe Japan next September, our cruise overnights there. We would like to go to the Arima Onsen hot springs. Has anyone done this and could advise the best way to get there...and is it worth it.

    Thank you

  3. I agree, Celebrity's pricing is going our of sight , $1599 for an OV Alaska cruise ... Princess is $899 on the same itinerary.

I can't understand the people who think 123 is a great deal..I suppose if you think it's worth it...each to his own.

We have a Vancouver to Shanghai booked for next fall, but, I think we will have to start looking at Princess

  4. Thank you very much....I know that some peoples complaints are ridiculous, but I wanted a few opinions. This will be our last long distance cruise (time is marching on) we are excited and want it to go well, we are not complainers, I'm going to stop reading those reviews !!

  5. We are booked on the Transpacific on the Millennium in September 2015.

There are some really bad reviews on cruise critic and others regarding the condition of the ship. Anyone have any insight or photos.... not sure we want to spend all those sea days on a bad ship!

    Thank you

  6. I agree Fortinweb....I have never had a problem with the laundry service and also don't feel that it is expensive.

We were on the Solstice for 23 days in Australia and New Zealand last year, I was just amazed at the people who spent thousand of dollars on the cruise, but wouldn't spend a little money to have a couple of bags of laundry done....and I have spent an afternoon in a ships laundromat , not what I will ever do again ....each to his own I guess

  7. I agree with Phoenix Dream ....if you are fortunate enough to be able to pay for a suite, you should have some nice perks. However the use of the ships public ares should be for all guests regardless of cabin category, this has always been one of the lovely aspects of cruising, it didn't matter what you paid, the ship was yours to enjoy.

We are booked on Infinity Panama Canal September 2015, OV cabin. I'm watching this type of thread, if Celebrity does adopt a policy of making certain areas of the ship off limits to guests other than suites, we will take our $5,000 somewhere else.

  8. A lot of you have said this very well... these people leave their families for months/ years at a time so they may have a better life, we had a waiter on one ship who was so proud to be almost at his goal of paying for medical school.

Yes, the cruise lines take advantage and let the passenger pick up a portion of what would be acceptable wages...but it is what is it. We are happy to provide gratuities to these hard working people... a cruise such as a b2b in Austalia/New Zealand is an affordable vacation for us ...the tips are a part of our budget.

Do Australians not read ? Every piece of cruise line information provides

tipping policies...if you don't like it ...don't go.

Had to be said..happy sailing to those of us that don't plan on complaining , that consider ourselves lucky to be on the ship
