Emails for December 24th Escape cruise have gone out.

It was fantastic, the crew were awesome. You stop at two places, and there is so much to see. We saw sea turtles and many fish and coral at one stop and the next stop was the shipwreck.

The catamaran was the stars and stripes and the crew was fantastic. You just walked to the end of the pier and boarded the catamaran there. It was not crowded at all and there is plenty of shade if that is what you want.

I think that NCL puts a cap on each excursion so they are not overcrowded.

How difficult was it to get back on this catamaran. Were the steps out of the water vertical like pool steps? Thanks

I cashed OBC out at the casino on my last two trips without issues - whether at the cashier or the table, no issues, just the 3% fee.

 

Not sure what I would do if I bought $3K OBC but if you have to pay for things on board (ie last minute UDP/UBP) or FCC might as well use the lower converted USD ...

 

BTW the FCC is different now...someone correct me if I am wrong

$250 FCC give you $100 OBC <--- this is the one I am not sure of

$500 FCC gives you $250 OBC

$1000 FCC gives you $500 OBC

When we purchased a $250 Future cruise credit on our last cruise the NCL agent converted it to Canadian and gave us $275 FCC for future bookings in $CDN

I am new to Norwegian so not sure how this all works. I have received a free cruise certificate from a casino (of course it's not really free)...I do have to pay taxes and fees. Can I book this free cruise using Canadian rates?

We won a 7 day cruise ($1000 cruise certificate ) on our last cruise an booked a 14 day cruise. Because it was a free cruise certificate I had to book thru the NCL finance department and was told I could not pay the balance in Canadian funds. I will be interested in knowing what they tell you.

Was this rate for a 2016 cruise? We booked a Panama Canal cruise for Oct 2016 and got 1.19, this was earlier this month. I was told by an NCL agent that it was 1.10 for 2015 cruises and 1.19 for 2016 cruises.

We booked Jan 2017 cruise from Hong Kong to Sydney and Feb 2017 cruise from Sydney to Auckland.

Just curious if any Canucks have booked directly with NCL lately for 2016 cruises and what their exchange rate is? With the dollar being horrific, I'm just curious as to what NCL is now offering.

I have learned a lot from this thread. We booked 2 cruises (Jan and Feb 2017 ) and the rate was $1.15.

I won a free 7 day cruise ($1000 USD) and increase it to a 14 day cruise. NCL Finance Dept would not give me the additional cost in CDN $. Any suggestion on how I can buy OBC in Canadian dollars?

I agree with Don. What fantastic pictures "Oakman". I have also taken 2 pages of notes so we don't miss any of the good shows and entertainers. Now I have to make sure our pre-booked specialty restaurants don't conflict with with prime rib and chateau briand dinners in the main dining room. I appreciate seeing the menus. Thanks.

This was our first cruise with NCL too. Now that we have sailed with NCL we are bronze members of their Latitudes program so we can get priority boarding on future cruises.

Was lobster served in the main dining rooms? Thanks
