  1. thank you for the information. The dietary concern was specific only to the Chef's table. I did not realize that it is no longer being offered. It was something we remembered from our previous cruises and thought we would try. Come to think of it, when I was searching the boards for information I could not find any fairly recent info, which is what prompted my question. I will keep my eyes open for updated menu info.

  2. We have sailed the Breakaway 3 times, and are leaving for our 4th in August. We are looking to do something new this time and thought of the Chef's table. Does anyone have any recent experience with this? Are there any accomodations made for dietary restrictions? What day is this held? thanks for any info!

  3. We are trying to look at all of the possibilities and see which one might work best for us. Still plan on talking about it but want to make sure we have all options, especially for the return to the dockyard. But, please don't hold it against us if we choose not to share the taxi.

  4. Thanks for the feedback. How far is the 7 bus stop from the ferry dock in Hamilton?

I remember having to make constant stops on the bus from the dockyard, leading to an hour ride, so maybe the shorter distance on the bus will alleviate that. And, good point about the crowds.

Any experience with taking a cab, as far as expense?

  5. We are planning to spend the day at Coco Reef for the day and are looking the for the best/fastest/most cost efficient way of getting there from the dockyard. In looking at the transportation map, it looks like we can take the ferry to Hamilton, then the #7 bus to a bus stop near the resort. Timing for this scenario looks to be about 35-40 minutes. Having taken the bus directly from the dockyard in the past, which took 1 full hour, this seems to be a time saver. We are also trying to avoid the expense of a cab, although we do have the option of sharing one to the resort.

Is there anyone with more experience using the transportation system in Bermuda who can comment on this, or give some better advice?

    Really appreciate the help!

  6. Oh my gosh - I have been stalking your Dawn review of Bermuda for our upcoming Oct 4th Breakaway trip!!! How lucky that you get to cruise again so soon! I feel like I will be traveling with a celebrity!:D

So awhile ago some glorious person posted the dailies for Breakaway to Bermuda from back in May. I saved and printed them then and they have been my travel planning bible for the last couple weeks. (Along with your review of course). I'll see if I can find them for you or a search might pull them up.

Since I have them by my side at all times (i'm a crazy planner if you cant tell). I will let you know what they say.

I have not been able to book Cirque either, I was going to call ncl today and see if I needed to do it over the phone instead.

Hope this helps! 85 more days!!! If you have any other questions let me know. This is our 3rd ncl cruise but never on such a large ship. We did a 10 day southern on the Sun 3yrs ago and 4 day Sky last year. I love the small ships but my husband is a city boy at heart and he'll love our day in NYC prior and he'll feed off the energy of so much activity. I'm sure we'll both love it. And the UBP is just sprinkles on the icing on the cake!

I have been looking for some Breakaway dailies from this year, but haven't been able to find them! Could you direct me to the link where you found them? Thank you so much!

  7. We are sailing on the Breakaway in August. Last year we had reservations at a beach club on Elbow Beach, where you can get a day pass to use their chairs/umbrellas/etc. Unfortunately our ship got diverted last year due to bad weather, and we never made it to the club. We would like to go this year, but I cannot find the information about that club. Does anyone have the name of it? And, if you went, did you think it was worth it? Thanks in advance!

  8. We are sailing August 2015 and our first time in the Haven. We will be traveling with our 10 year old son, who will be able to sign himself in and out of splash academy for the first time, which he is excited about. It was for that reason that we chose cabin 12106. The forward location seemed like the best for him to walk alone. Previously we have only ever stayed in aft balcony rooms. I am wondering about this location, and its possible negative/positive qualities. Also, are children permitted to attend the cocktail hour with the captain? Thanks!

  9. I just always read about different upgrades, obc's, etc but when I asked our TA about those she says we can't do it (seriously bummed about not getting the "kids sail free" promo). Is that something more likely to happen directly through NCL or are we really not able to upgrade or change? I find it all very confusing.

  10. This is a subject my husband and I have talked about many times. We are scheduled for our 3rd NCL cruise this month, all of which have been booked through a TA. Is there a benefit to booking directly with NCL or TA? If so, which is preferred? We are already planning another cruise with NCL but are not sure which is better. Any advice would be great, thanks!

  11. Hi,

I just got off on Sunday, we were in room 14876. You could hear Spice H2O pretty well if you were in bed before they closed (not sure what time they did close, but am going to guess around 1 am?). I had ear plugs and that took care of the problem for me. :)

Hi We are in 14876 at the end of August. How was it ? I was told the balcony is a nice size- will loungers fit--any pics?

    Thanks
