  1. Laurie, I read this thread most days and have not been able to get my head around the colour ideas you lovely ladies talk about. I just want to tell you though that the dress you are wearing in post 4647 looks just so lovely on you. I hope it meets the colour requirements you seek.

  2. Thank you for taking the time to post a great review Bill. It is always a joy to read your reports. Marie is very photogenic and the happiness she portrays always brings a smile to my face.

We have had a major weather event in our part of the world and had no power for a whole week. I had saved your review to read on a day I could relax and I have really enjoyed catching up,

    Thank you again.

  3. I second The_Big_M's post David and certainly send my best wishes.

. . .We have and 8 day cruise on Celebrity Century leaving Sydney 11 November 2014 Melbourne - Adelaide - Port Lincoln - Sydney. We had to cancel our February 2015 one due to my hubby's treatment for his illness. Hoping we can make some bookings later on and sure hope you can also. Kay

  4. Hello Trend

I think a good idea would be to take the Hop On/Hop Off bus rides initially and get a good feel of where you are. They have a commentary.

There are lots of things to do on Sentosa where I enjoyed the Four Winds Trading Company historical display but as there are many options on Sentosa you would be spoilt for choice and I know people have differing priorities and interests. The cable car ride is a really nice way to get there or back. We went to the top of Marina Bay Sands. I was exhausted at the time and there was nowhere to sit down unless you bought food from the restaurant and I wasn't hungry. I would say if you have good weather while on the cable car there is no need to opt for other views from heights since time is limited. Gardens by the Bay was just wonderful. On the first day we waited ages in a shopping centre for the rain to stop and realised that people were coming in completely dry. There are covered walkways and underground passages everywhere! I wore my Crocks "Sanrah" for the puddles. Oh! we also liked the Bum Boat ride at Clark Quay.

Widebay, dear Widebay, you are so generous with your suggestions I really am grateful and I know I will be visiting some of the places you listed. So sorry about the wallpaper. It was such a huge challenge! I don't know what they used to stick it on with all those years ago. One wall just lifted off but the other three were uuugggh! Anyhow I will be away from the 'puter for another while now as it will be covered with the drop cloth while we paint the ceiling. Cheers

  5. Hello David, please add us to cruise from Brisbane on Pacific Dawn 13 July 2013 (W328 Pacific Island Hopper).

Also from Auckland on Celebrity Solstice 22 March 2014.

Our cruise on Celebrity Millennium Sydney to Singapore in November was really good. Seventeen days of calm seas - amazing.

I would like to thank you for the photos of Voyager of the Seas that you posted on January 12. It was special to me as my son and his girl were on board.

Best wishes to you David, and thanks heaps.....Cheers

  6. I should mention that I'm getting the dress hemmed, and the train is going, or at least most of it. Trains look lovely in a picture, but once you go to move, they're awful. If you aren't stepping or tripping over it, other will.

The brown one looks great on you Laurie and I think you have made a good choice to lose the train on the gold. It will look much nicer without it and be a LOT easier to wear. Enjoy

  7. Hi Murray and Dave. I have been checking out a cruise on Radiance from Fremantle on 26 November 2013 going through the Bight then over the Tasman. Don't know if I'm brave enough though....Cheers, K

Crikey, I made a mistake....she returns on 26th.....that's when you get on board. sorry for my big boo boo

  8. Wow, I just read this whole thread in one shot. We were originally booked on this cruise but ended up having to cancel due to a calendar conflict. What a pleasant surprise to be able to experience it vicariously!

As many have praised already, a super review -- both in its visual and written content. You have a wonderful way with words, Iluvcruising2!

I'm curious, were there any issues with queueing? We had heard from some of the crew on other ships that the Asian itineraries had some trouble with people not used to forming lines.

Can't wait to read your next review!

We were on the ship for the next leg, embarking at Shanghai and returning there as well. When I came home I read the book

China Survival Guide: How to Avoid Travel Troubles and Mortifying Mishaps

by Larry Herzberg, Qin Herzberg. There was a chapter that helped me understand the situations we found ourselves in with regard to queueing. Iluvcruising2 will be glad to hear that our next cruise will find us having three days in Singapore. Cheers, and happy travels...
