Subbing. I, too, am more interested in the Oasis III build than Quantum Class. I certainly hope the moderators give the Oasis new builds a place among the "stickys"

For all those who have wondered how the river convenience is done, here is a informative article for you:
http://www.wired.com/2014/09/conveyance-quantum-of-the-seas/
Fabulous article. Thank you for sharing!

I'm surprised they named Quantum 3 already and not Oasis 3 since Oasis 3 is due out in the Spring of 2016 and Quantum 3 isn't due out till the fall of 2016
I agree! And, we haven't heard a thing about her construction is going, have we? Personally, I am much more interested in Oasis 3 and what they might be changing/upgraded with her, than Quantum Class anything. But, that's just me!

How would an RCI agent know??
I was hoping to place the request to have the dividers open with the C & A, RCI agent before we boarded. It was my understanding that this was the way to make that request.
-
And, when I asked if this would be possible for our cruise this past May, I was told by the RCI agent that they no longer allowed that! So, I suppose it's who you talk to! Good Luck!

I'm just off Navigator from last week. No invitations to C & A welcome back party. They mentioned that there were like 1200 C & A members, and there were only maybe 150 at the event. Listed in the Compass, also in small print on our benefits letter. Not sure what that was all about. As a side note, after 7 RCI cruises, this was the most disorganized, poorly planned cruise that I have ever been on. I was very disappointed.

Fabulous suggestions! Thank you for sharing.

I haven't tried to get alcohol purchases back home (flying) since all the new liquid restrictions have gone into effect. So, how DO you safely get them back home? Will they allow you to carry it in a box, bag as a carry on? - it's obviously more than 3 oz. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

The new packages were introduced last November-ish.
Royal Replenish is $20/day, so a 7-night cruise is $140.
Thank you! That actually sounds fairly reasonable for all the choices it sounds like you have! I'll have to see if I can find my past cruise bills and see how much I usually spend on drinks!
-
This is good information to know. Thank you for sharing! I don't think they had this drink package on our cruise on Jewel back in August!! I just checked my planner for my upcoming 7-day cruise on Navigator, and it doesn't list the price of the Replenish Package. Does anyone know how much the 7-day package is? Thanks!

Pretty much that really. We did the freedom the last week of October and the weather was fab. However, after the shock of the Anthem prices the caribbean with a back to back is looking favourite.
Would be interested to hear on any weather advice for that time.
Many thanks
We took Allure the first week of September on the Eastern Caribbean. It was quite hot, but at that time of year the ports were not busy. Took Jewel to the Southern Caribbean the last week of August, it wasn't very busy in port either, but it was hot, hot, hot...but with a nice tradewind. When possible, I prefer later, but then I'm not a hot and humid kinda girl!

I got one of these in the mail over the weekend, too. Figured it sounded too good to be true. It has the Royal Caribbean logo all over it, including the voucher. (unlike some of the other scams). I wonder if RCI knows about it?? I would guess they got their mailing lists from Royal???

I'm now seeing a Crown & Anchor Savings Certificate for Navigator May 25 sailing. Will I be able to apply it to my reservation made yesterday?
I think that certificate expired last night? I don't think the new ones have loaded, yet?

So, how do we extend the hold on a cabin from yesterday afternoon??? I've e-mailed RCCL to document... I got my cabin booked yesterday, but added the one next door for my son and his Dad...
-
Holy Cow!! I looked at this earlier today, and there were no Jr Suites available, but looked again tonight, and lo and behold, there were 3!! YEAH!! My sister and I will be on this sailing!! Or at least I hope we will.....I put the cabin on hold, tried to call RC to put down the deposit, and they are on holiday???? What are the chances that we will actually be able to cruise on this one????
Barb
Bummer, I was on tonight, too, saw another price drop (which is now gone), but no JS's. Guess I'll keep checking back. Yea, I thought it odd, too, that they were on "holiday" both the C&A #, and regular #. I have a cabin on hold, that I wanted to finish out... I'm ready to just pay the deposit online. But, how do you do that??
-
Bummer. I was too late for those JS. :( If anyone placed one on hold and has to give it up, please let me know. I booked a D1 instead (still a great price) and am on a list for an upgrade! I'm celebrating my 60th and my daughter her 30th, so I was looking to cruise at a GREAT price! Thanks for sharing, even if I was late for the JS! I'll get one sometime!

Does Jewel have the flat-screened tvs, or those giant, obnoxious CRT-looking ones? Hope that I won't have to wait for 2016 drydock for a modern television set (not that anyone spends a whole lot of time in the cabin...)!
I was on the Jewel this past August. We were in a D1 hump cabin (loved it) and we had a flat screen TV!

Quite frankly, last year on the Allure was the first time that I had EVER had a towel animal! (However, I had taken a 7 year hiatus from cruising.) :( I thought they were cute. We only had 3 the entire 7 day cruise, I would have liked more, but I'm sure with this size of Allure, that wasn't practical. Now, cruising back in the 90's, they made animals from your nightie!! I always thought they were interesting, if not a little personally invasive!

A few years back we were to cruise out of San Juan with several friends. It was January, so we flew in a day early.. We piled into 2 taxis and were delivered to Old San Juan. Just as the taxis were pulling away, one of the women discover that she had left her PURSE in the taxi - it had all their documentation, travelers checks (we used them back then) and meds in it. One of the quick thinking men, thought he knew for sure which taxi and driver it was. He grabbed one of the other men, got in the next taxi, and followed them back to the airport. Long story short - can you believe he found the taxi, driver...and PURSE!! What a way to begin our cruise!!
Oh, this was the same trip that San Juan had something go wrong with their water system and only the larger hotels had water. None of the small restaurants or businesses did! Certainly a trip to remember!!

Sovereign was my first cruise as well. I did go back, out of curiosity to see how well I remember, and our cruise was just a little reversed.
Day 1: Leave Miami 5:00
Day 2: At sea
Day 3: At sea
Day 4: St Thomas (hopped from St Thomas to PR for an overnight in port)
Day 5: San Juan
Day 6: At Sea
Day 7: Coco Cay
Day 8: Miami early
-
We sailed on Sovereign in January 1994. If it helps, we left from Miami, then to St. Thomas (like 2 days at sea), and then to San Juan, with our final stop at Coco Cay. At the time there were sanctions agains Haiti, so they were not stopping in Labadee. Hope this helps!

Your pictures are fabulous!! How did you get so many without people?? And, what kind of camera did you use. I'll be on her in early March, and don't want to miss a thing! Thanks!
