Hi, we've just book a weeks med cruise and gratuities are being quoted at $100/€70 for the week per person

Hadnt really thought of these as a line to look at but they are offering some good value deals however the website has very little info on it.

 

Ive just a couple of questions

 

gratuities do you need to pay these? and how much are they?

 

I also read somewhere that toilet paper needed to be put in bins is this true ?

 

looking at Horizon to the Canaries

You don't have to both buy the same drinks package any more on RCI, changed a while ago

Last year on Adventure of the seas there was a crew member who would leave a post it under the towel with the time the lounger was empty....If it was still empty next time he passed and more than 30 mins had passed he removed the towels....fair I thought.

We sailed brilliance last Aug to Russia... she's my favourite ship. You can see I've sailed a few and I much prefer the smaller ship. She'd just been refurbished and looked great, was a great atmosphere too

We like to mix it up. One time a waiter moaned cos we'd moved seats, but we like to chat to everyone and it's rude to talk across other people.

Another time one couple sat in the same seats every night so we would try to get there before them so we could swap things around

Hope you got home okay. We are down in Glasgow next week for a couple of hours and then again in July for a Commonwealth opening ceremony preview. Don't know if I said but I'm a Clydesider, based at Barry Buddon. (hope I don't have to dress up as Clyde!!) lol

Just booking another cruise for next year, RCL have the free flights just now so got a great deal!

was great to meet you guys at the meet & mingle, and we kept bumping into you.

We ate dinner in Giovannis twice, asked for the same waitress on second night and she gave us 20% off the cover charge, food there was even better than MDR, well worth the extra.

KPLIONMA, are you on the 28th Sept sailing?.... so are we.
