That was a point I made earlier, the company’s sales must be falling off the cliff because of these website and phone bank issues.     The good news is, at least where I am, is that the website seems to be working again. I hope it stays that way

On some websites no cruises are available before November. I think they don't want to mess around with the problems at the moment.

I took screen shots of my invoices before they disappeared from my online account but it’s a good suggestion of yours to take along the credit card statement that shows the payment for the cruise. I’ve phoned Azamara UK and have been told by the assistant that I definitely have a booking. That is obviously reassuring but I’d feel much happier if the website recognised me and my upcoming cruise.  I usually do a mixture of cruise line excursions and some privately organised ones (after doing a fair amount of research on the ports of call) but for this cruise it looks like it will mostly be all down to private arrangements since I can’t depend on Azamara to get sorted in time for my cruise next week.

I made the same as you and we will see us hopefully on board 😉 I have my booking online, but it says I owe them money and I cannot book any excursions. Perhaps because i've booked via a TA.

So I'll carry as much useless paperwork like on my first cruise 😁

Yesterday our travel agency and Azamara management had a zoom meeting promoting new bookings. They discussed the logistics of having to move 30,000 bookings and huge amounts of data to the new web page. If that is not enough they were in the process of moving to a new facility.

30k booking is not that much data. Either the Data from RC is hardly corrupted or the the new software company is incompetent. Cruisers onboard say that all data on board are correct, so i think it may be the second ...

My future cruise finally showed up this morning, along with an outstanding balance of $2000 (it's paid in full). The cruise has now disappeared; I have no loyalty information at all.

Same for me, my cruises on April 15 and 22 showed up and are gone again

My cruise departing in 19 days has still not appeared on my account, so thought they might be "focused" on <30 day's, it's no guarantee!

Same here, booked on Onward, no details yet. No hope after mail, that there will be no online Checkin anymore for our cruise

    Hi folks

can't see how to find out which cabins are available and which are already booked

When you go past adding your contact dates there you can change stateroom. But every time you have to insert your data. They are not saved. I hope this will be solved.

  7. Best advise above is prebooking. You have no chance to get in if there are no tickets left. I recommend looking early on the website and booking the towers is a good option also for looking on the work proceeding.

One way to go around when you like driving with e-bikes is ridemovi. It is bikes sharing, normally you will find bikes only a few 100m from the port. Take a look at the website. Not only in BCN but also in Rome, Venice...

In BCN its flat and there are good lanes for bikes, so you find your way through traffic easily

Second, we are doing a B2B and the turn-around port is Monte Carlo, Monaco.  Will those of us "in transit" be able to come and go from the ship

Hello, we are on the same BtB and looking forward how it works. We were on Onward last October but without stopover.

We have to change our cabins too, so maybe we will start to Monaco late

First of all tours are priced in dollars so if you are looking at anything that involves a currency conversion that can be all over the place changing.  Secondly, yes you do find prices get revised not by demand but by recosting.  And it is extremely common to see the onboard price being higher than pre sailing.  All in all, I tend to book as soon as I know I want a particular tour

I always have in mind currency coversion as i'm in euro zone. Half of Tours are the same price to the cent. So that is not the eeason. OnBoard is clear too. But i've never seen prices rise before a cruise. So i wonder about it.

As far as I’m aware all cruise lines will offer this. Obviously they will expect you to pay the going market rate for the cabin you choose.

That's what I said. Problem is only when they wait with a response until the price has risen two times.

I am not sure I am following you

I'm not talking about the upgrade bidding programme. Normally you can go to your cruiselines and change the cabin to a better cabin paying the difference of the price you payed to the actual price of the new category. But only if its more expensive. In some cases you can change even when price is lower. But then you get no money back but paying a fee for the change. Its the same on azamara.

Sure, after final payment it's always goodwill of the cruise line.

Guarantee cabins are not eligible to take part in the Upgrade scheme.

An other thing not displayed when booking quarantees

Payed upgrades are not always offered. Maybe your cruise is not eligible.

    Ivi

I got an offer after more than a week when i called Frankfurt office when my TA didn't act after more calls. in this week prices rises twice and offer was insane. I first responded to the booking confirmation after 1min! when prices were still low.

     "There is no free lunch."

I don't want a free lunch. But normally the benefit of guarantee on a cruise that's not full is the assigning of a better category in this case.

Quarantee was not cheaper because you loose OBC. When you loose the chance on a better category in this case because the assingin a cabin without view even before booking though no warning that it can be obstructed then its a scam only to get rid off the obstructed.

But the point is that there is no fast help for an immediate payed upgrade. Is it because they had known that the price will rise?

After being told there were no other cabins they miraculously found 5 on deck 4 mid ships. I had to pay an additional fee but was offered $300 OBC which wasn’t originally part of the GTY deal.

Our first time in 6 booked cruises with Azamara that we went direct. Not a great experience as the agents seemed disinterested in providing information and all sounded like they were in their living rooms.

Was the fee the price difference between guarantee and fix-booking? Its even worse with TA. I have still no offer for upgrading. Price difference was 250€ (originally price in Pound) when i first complained, now its 550€ for the 2 btb cruises. But prices go up for guarantee too, so i think i will get an offer for the difference of my price and the new price of fix booking which is insane 1000€. So i think i will have no choice but to stay in both cabins.

No clear statement on website that guarantees can be obstructed, no clear statement, that it can be smaller. Assigning ONLY Obstructed. And no help when you want to upgrade  So they will have 2 unhappy passengers. No good marketing. Strong carrer from "best cruise line i've ever been" to "i will not book anymore" 😒.

  15. Containers are not complaining.

That’s my thought about MSC. I have a special relationship to them because it was my first cruise. Before that, I thought cruises are only for old people, now I’ve booked my 19th and 20th cruise since 2011.

One thing I learned already on my first cruise with MSC: it’s useless to complain. Take it or leave it. So I’m still booking cruises with them on a cheap basis (now 7 cruises), but they are not always cheap. But I’ve always a few things in mind:

    - Food is like a cantina (my companies cantina is better)
    - Too much people on the cruise with declining room (especially pool deck of newer ships)
    - Officers have there nose in the air. Don’t think you’re the customer
    - Nickel and diming especial for shuttle
    - Take or leave it. No complaining (it hurts only your nerves)

I’ts useless to write comments, no one at MSC is interested. But to be fair, I haven’t been to YC, there are good and hard workers especially the waiters, room service, service, just everyone who is not in higher ranks. The ships are special and beautiful. And its cheap in some occasions.

But always have in mind. They earn most of their money with containers, not passengers. And they are not complaining.

  17. There are differences between US and UK website since i begin to look for a cruise this year. The layout from cpgrneyes have been in place on US website at least since early December. But I am from germany, maybe they have geolocation and test with non target market. The UK website is the old one, better working.
