  1. I cruised on the Sunshine last month. We had an awesome time on this ship. My kids didn't want to go to camp because it was so much stuff to do. The food was good, and lots of variety of places to eat. Our steward, Alan, was awesome. He gave my husband a $50 spa gift card just paying it forward.

I read a lot of negative feedback about the Sunshine but I went into a cruise with positive mindset. Go on her and see for yourself!

  2. I asked my travel agent about the gift cards. She didn't know anything about them. She said as long as they work the same as a credit card she can apply them toward my cruise balance.

I want to order some but I am worried because I haven't used them before. Do they work like a credit card with your travel agent?

Thanks for any help you can give!!

I have used several of the gift cards with my travel agent. I just call him, and give him the numbers on the cards. He send me a confirmation email. I had no problems. Since I found this thread, I paid my cruises off with gift cards.

  3. We are a family of 5 and booked one cabin for all of us. It works for us. Granted, I have a teenage son, & two girls (10 & 8). One time we had an inside cabin, it was a tap bit crowded but we made it work. The steward put a rollway bed in the cabin. We were on the Sunshine, and in an oceanview cabin. Much better (little more room)....I put the luggages under the bed. I bought a shoe organizer to put over the door. I do agree that Family Deluxe Cabin is great for 5 people.

  4. They are sold out. They sell out fast and I have been trying to buy them for a month. Not sure when they re-load but curious if anyone has info on it

It is a thread on here about Verizon and Carnival Gift Cards. When I'm ready to buy the gc, I subscribe to that thread. Somebody always post on there when the gc are available on Verizon Smart Reward website. You have to act fast because the gc always sell out in a matter of minutes to hours.

  5. I just booked through that website too, I'll report back on my daytrip, going next week. Got the lunch package from the grill

Can you please provide me with the website that you use? I went to Melia when it was Sheraton, and just walk in to get a day pass. We're be in Nassau with six other ships next month. I would like to reserve a day pass.

  6. AzJunkGirl they looked like they shipped from Ohio last time I got one, I checked for my SIL yesterday ordered on 3/18, received on 3/22... This was without a delay confirming our address. (They email or call to confirm)

I never received an email or phone call when I purchased the last month, but I did receive a call when I purchased the first time last year. I called them to see if they could ship the gift card to the UPS Customer Center so I can pick them up. They did!!! Ordered on Friday around 2:30pm, Shipped on Monday, and Arrived on Wednesday!!! Thanks for this forum, I didn't know anything about Verizon Smart Reward and Carnival Gift Cards. Happy Sailing!!!:)

  7. 2 cruises now booked... hoping to catch some. Is there a trick to when they go live?

Like others have said before, they can go live at anytime. Since I have found this thread, I have bought cards on Monday morning, Friday afternoon, and Saturday morning. I bought cards two weeks ago. It was Friday afternoon around 1:30 EST. I picked the cards up at the UPS center on the following Wednesday.

  8. I second this idea... My last 2 cruises I did a taxi to MIA, store luggage and buy a day pass for the bus system ($5.65). Take the Airport Flyer to South Beach, have lunch, take in the sights. With the day pass you can jump on basically any of the buses that go up and down Miami Beach...

My friend and I have a late flight. Who stored your luggage while you tour South Beach? I love this idea.

  9. When we were in this situation we bought tickets for the hop on hop off bus. It was waiting right by the ship. You board with your luggage, and are taken to the "depot" where luggage is stored, and you pick up your tour right away.

At the end you return to depot, pick up your bags and then a shuttle takes you to the airport.

Very well organised and provided an appropriate lazy day, given that we were on an all night flight.

Can you give me the name of the company you use? My friend and I have a late flight out of Miami. We don't want to sit in the airport all day.
