My husband and I had a great tour of both sides of the island by Jose Jean, with Double the Fun Tours. He's been a guide with one of the major companies for awhile but last year went out on his own and gave us our favorite tour of all the islands we visited on our cruise last week.
I initially found him on Trip Advisor and although he only had a few reviews, all of them were great! I really liked the itinerary he proposed visiting Orient Beach, Marigot and Maho so I decided to take a chance and make a reservation. He called me right after receiving my email to ask what we wanted to see and what we wanted to drink! My kind of tour guide! We very easily found Jose the morning of our tour exactly where he said he would be and we set off with two other couples and a well stocked cooler in his very nice and comfortable black Lincoln Navigator (seats a maximum of six).
Jose was personable, funny and very entertaining. We were all very comfortable with him and he told us he was giving us the tour he would give his own family. He asked what we were interested in and tailored the tour to us (history, beaches, nature, tourism, island news and current events, etc.). He said we could spend as much time as we wanted touring since we were his only tour that day. We never felt rushed as we stopped at a few overlooks and beachside pull-offs and got a great sense of the island based on his entertaining stories. We spent about an hour at Orient Beach, about an hour and a half at Marigot where we had lunch in the local lolos (he gave us some great suggestions of where to go) and about an hour at Maho Beach. He let us set the schedule and we all agreed on the times that we wanted to allot at each stop.
We really enjoyed our day with Jose and would highly recommend him to anyone visiting the island at a resort or off a cruise.

We went to Condado and ate at Oceano and Cucina Abierta with a stop at the casinos in between! Cucina Abierta had creative cocktails and menu items...that was my favorite though Oceano was on the water so had a better view!

I have learned so much from all of you! Thanks! We head out Sunday on AOS and I feel so much more prepared!

Dumb question... Why would you buy pre-cruise OBC instead of putting it all on a credit card or paying cash at the end?

Thanks for the info! I feel better hearing this and am now officially excited! ;-)

I just noticed I was upgraded to a junior suite with an aft balcony (6694) from a D3 balcony. I thought that would be great but I've seen some reviews about it having obstructed views. The pictures I've seen at voyager-class.com/pictures/cabins/aft_6-JS/gallery.html don't impress me either. Any thoughts on this? Not even sure if they would switch us since we sail in 3 days! Thanks in advance!

Where can I check for flights? We will be there May 8th.

I think Eli's Eco Tour goes to Bird Island.

Wow thanks! We will be the only one in port too! I will search for similar sites for the other ports!

How do you find out what other ships would be in port at the same time?

Thanks! That's helpful!

I am booked on a 6th floor balcony! How bad is it? Any pictures of those? I called RC and TA and they said it was great and not obstructed. Wondering if I should try switching rooms?

I saw on another post that the balconies on Deck 6 are all metal and you can't see out if you're sitting down...any truth to that?
ETickets show Fantastica drink vouchers for March 30 sailing
in MSC Cruises
Posted
I printed my March 30 Seaside tickets today and it shows the “Fantastica Drink Package” and references the vouchers in the fine print under “02. Your Cruise - What’s Included” with an asterisk but it also shows the Easy package on a separate page under “03. Your Purchased Services”. Did you see any of that that listed? I supposedly booked with the “All In” package.
