Traveling in June 2024 with a group of 6, ranging in age from 16-76. We will be in Barcelona 3 nights pre cruise. We don't need "fancy," just clean, comfortable and convenient to walking/transportation. Looking to book 3 rooms. Really don't want to do an AirBnB as I think we need a little separation😁. Hotel Lleo, Hotel Atlantis & Hotel Continental Barcelona are all within in our price range and seem to meet our needs. Which would you choose or does anyone have another recommendation? Thank you for your help!

Recently used this service (May 30 - Quantum of the Seas) and it was great. Signed up before sailing and received baggage tags in our cabin the night prior to disembarkation. Our friends did the same, however, they found they needed to check one more bag. No problem, they went to guest services on board and received another luggage tag. We traveled non stop back to Orlando and bags arrived with us. Our friends connected through Atlanta and their bags did not connect. The bags were delivered to their home the next morning and placed right inside their door. So....they put their bags out the night before disembarkation and didn't touch them again until they were home.

Still not fixed the title of the excursion is not listed at this point and still has the payment processing error.
WOOHOO, payment processed. If you left it in your shopping cart, try and submitting payment. Mine just went through at the sale price. If you are on the 5/23 sailing, we'll see you onboard.

A little progress....they published the description 🙂.

JOYOUS and ema773, did you have any luck purchasing the Endicott Arm Fjord & Glacier Explorer excursion? I tried yesterday as well and called when it wouldn't process the payment. The agent also put in an IT form (that was about 10a). I've tried several times today and no luck. The items are still in my shopping cart (for 2 different reservations) and I keep getting the error message. Please post if you have success. Thank you!

Check you tube for cabin 6234 on Odyssey. It is 4 cabins from yours and shows the view from the balcony, which includes 6222. There appears to be a much smaller lifeboat outside 6222.

Gardyloo and rj59 you have convinced me 🙂. Just read about L47 from Puget Sound Whale Sightings site. it was sad to read. I think we'll be happy with a ferry ride and a day trip Gardyloo previously suggested. You are the best!!! Thank you again.

Thank you so much for all the info. You've definitely given me a better insight to whale watching in Seattle or Alaska. Your help is greatly appreciated.

We will be taking a cruise in May 2022 to Alaska out of Seattle, but are coming in several days early. Since we have a little time, we were considering taking a whale watching excursion out of Edmonds (4-5 hours). Has anyone done this? We have a couple are concerned they may get "seasick" on a smaller boat. Thank you for any suggestions or information.

I have not used them, but this site gives prices on day rooms. https://www.dayuse.com/s/united-states/washington/king-county/seattle. Not sure if this helps since we are not going until 2022, but here's our plan. I found a VERY cheap rate at Alamo (about $25 for the day for an SUV). We have the same issue of "cpap and carry on's" that can't be checked. They will pick you up at the port and take you to their downtown location. Our idea is to use port valet for our checked luggage, use the car to store our stuff and then drive ourselves to the airport after exploring a bit after the cruise.

CarelessAndConfused we are on Royal Caribbean and I haven't seen any excursions or disembarkation tours which is why we were considering a diy. Thank you!

Gardyloo, thank you for your expertise and advise. We're from Florida.....snow in May isn't something that comes to the top of our list. We planned on it for the cruise, but forgot that we needed to consider it for Mt. Rainer 😁. Your suggestions are definitely worth pursuing!

Thanks so much for your help and advice! I'll keep an eye out for the Spot Saver Program for next year.

Any help is appreciated. Here is our plan. We are cruising out of Seattle May 23, 2022. Our plans are to fly in on 5/21 from the east coast and stay at Cedarbrook Lodge. We are renting a car to visit Mt. Rainer on 5/22. Our cruise is 5/23 - 5/30 and returns on Monday 5/30 (which is also Memorial Day). We would use the Port Valet for our luggage, so we wouldn't have to worry about anything, but our carryon. Our return flights do not leave until 3:30p. We were thinking of renting a car (understand Alamo/National/Enterprise have a kiosk at Terminal 91 to shuttle you to downtown pick up). We would use the car to run around the city and catch some of the city sights we won't have time for pre cruise and then return the car to the airport. Is this too rushed or crazy? Normally we would just go to the airport, but the car rental rate is very inexpensive (less than $25 for an SUV) and there is no drop off fee for returning to the airport. Unfortunately we can't add any more days to our trip, but would rather spend some time in the city than hanging around the airport for a flight. Thank you for any suggestions.

Just sharing my parking experience in case it helps someone! We had never sailed out of Tampa. We usually use Port Canaveral. Recently did a 5 night sailing on Brilliance of the Seas. I was a little leary about using MyParkConnect, but the reviews all looked good, so I thought I'd give it a try. BEST EXPERIENCE ever! I paid $35.00 + $2.45 (tax) through their website. I took printed a copy of the receipt with me. The garage is almost easier to use than the regular parking. We dropped our luggage off first and then went to the garage. We pulled in the garage and their was a person behind the booth. I explained I had prepaid, she took my receipt and told me to park anywhere on Level 2 or above and showed us where the elevator was. We opted for Level 4 right next to the elevator in the COVERED garage. Locked the car, went down the elevator and walked all of 3 minutes to the terminal. The walkway is all sidewalk and winds through a little park. Before we knew it, we were on the ship. On our return we had a porter load our bags, take us through the separate immigration line and then he took us all the way to the car in the garage and loaded the bags (we tipped him $20). We avoided all of the people loading bags in the pier area and the general chaos from disembarkation. When we were exiting the garage, there was a green lane with no cross beam that we went through. The directions I had received on the paper were that I would push a button and give someone our order number. It couldn't have been easier! I would use My Park Connect again in heartbeat. FYI regular port parking is $75.00 for self parking and $95.00 for valet.

Ask your cabin steward to open the balcony divider between the 2 rooms. We did it for cabins 12229, 12231 and 12233 on Oasis. It was nice being able to share a larger balcony.

Ship – Oasis of the Seas
Deck - 10
Stateroom # - 229
Stateroom Category – 2J
Starboard or Port Side - Port
Quiet Stateroom? This cabin is next to the ice machine and service area. At times there was some noise (about 8a – 11a), but for the most part it was quiet. We travel with a Marsona sound machine so any noise did not bother us. Bed is next to the balcony.
Was stateroom aconnecting stateroom? - No
Balcony View – Balcony is almost directly over Trellis Bar. Has a beautiful view of Central Park. We even watched a wedding .
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized forclass? – Very nice oversized balcony. Had two sets of tables and chairs.
Was wind a problem? - Surprisingly there can be wind in Central Park. During a couple of rain storms we heard a “woo woo” sound when the door was open. With the sliding door closed and locked it blocks the sound.
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? –N/A
Any specific problems with this cabin? - Loved this cabin and would book again because of the location and extra-large balcony. Also loved the Neighborhood perks that come with booking Central Park balcony cabins. FYI – during the day you will hear some noise from the pool deck, but we loved it – we could relax on the balcony and still feel like we were in the excitement of the cruise. During the evening, it is VERY quiet.

Just got off Oasis and did exactly what you are thinking. We arrived at the port at 11:00 and did our gawking :). We took a 16" underseater bag with wheels that I bought at Walmart for about $35. It was large enough to carry the wine, medication, jewelry and a change of clothes (in case you want to use the pool before your luggage arrives), but very easy to maneuver -- actually much easier than an over the shoulder tote or a backpack and about the same size. You'll love the ship!

Really enjoying your review. Thank you for taking time to do it. We are boarding Oasis in 12 days!!!! I feel like I'm getting a head start on our cruise! We booked a bungalow at Columbus Cove and love the idea of taking a tender to the Columbus Cove. Did you take a tender back from Columbus Cove to the ship?

We are booked for May. He responds very quickly to email as well.
