I've seen videos of a smaller boat excursion to Hubbard Glacier on either the Joy or Bliss - did you notice if they offer this from the Jewel?

    Thanks!

Hi Tricia! I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I tried to message you, but CC won't let me...? Hope you and hubby are doing well. We enjoyed meeting you this summer, take care! Maybe we'll cruise together again. We're headed to NZ in March.

Instead of bidding on both legs, why not double up on the second week to increase your chances?

I didn't really consider that, but not a bad idea...I think I'll just leave all as is and just hope for the best. The cruise says all the suites are sold out anyway...now I know that is not necessarily true but it makes me feel less anxious! hahaha

Oh, ok. I understand. I agree with you, it would be nice if it did.

Thanks you guys!  That was what I figured... I will be really sad if I get the suite for the first leg and then have to move down the second leg, but I guess some is better than none! LOL :classic_biggrin:

I also would wonder if I won the bids for both legs if it might be two different suites and I would end up moving in the middle... oh the drama..:classic_blush: It's almost too much! LOL

  4. I have scrolled through pages and pages but haven't found the answer to my question so forgive me if this has been asked already... we are booked on a back to back and I was wondering if they take into consideration that we wouldn't want to change cabins mid cruise if we only get the upgrade for one leg....that would stink.

I suppose if we had our balcony for the first leg and then got to move to a suite for the second leg that would be ok, but the other way around would be rather depressing...

Also, if you win your bid can you decline it or do you have to stick with it?

  5. We were on the Zaandam back in March and I kid you not the Martini bar was just fabulous! It was by far the funnest place on the ship. There was a martini tasting every night and the bartender put on quite a show with tricks, stories and jokes. There were only a few people who went to the martini tasting at first but by the end of the trip we had standing room only. I was hoping the Koningsdam would have something similar, but it sounds like maybe not... we aren't booked till next May so maybe they'll add something similar by then. TBMRT check out the Zaandam - Richard was our bartender and everyone just loved him. He even made us all gifts the last night of the cruise!
