  1. What was the earliest that you observed people debarking from the ship? Were taxis standing by ready to receive passengers leaving the ship? I ask because my wife and I are scheduled for 2 cruises- The Anthem from 2- 9 April and the Norwegian Getaway (Port of Miami) from the 9-16 April. As such, we have a tight window to fly to MIA or FLL between cruises. We will self assist our own luggage and standby near the gangway to be one of the first off the ship. There are a few available flights, however I would like to take the earliest flight from Newark to FLL, one which departs at 8am...if possible.

  2. We received our status match upgrade last week. As stated earlier, completing the online application yields no results, just an automated reply. After reading this forum, my wife called MSC and a representative provided her with a status match application to fill out and return to his email address. We completed separate status match applications and returned them along with pictures of our Carnival Platinum cards to the representative's provided email address. A couple of days later we received confirmation of our status match upgrade to MSC Gold status. This will be our second MSC Cruise, the first on the MSC Musica was on par with the other cruises we've taken, so I look forward to cruising on the Divina.

  3. My wife and I just returned from cruising on Pullmantur's Monarch departing out of Colon, Panama 4-11 April 2014. Overall it was an enjoyable cruise that I would recommend. But one must keep in mind that the ship is an older ship passed down from Royal Caribbean. Its clean, well maintained and the staff works hard at keeping it that way. The cruise is geared toward the Central/South American market and as such the primary language is Spanish although all announcements are made in Spanish and English. The cuisine also appeared to be primarily Central/South American influence. For example, you can expect to find, among other dishes, a delicious rice and a bean offering at both lunch and dinner. The lines at the buffet were long sometimes and do not get frustrated when the seniors simply cut in the line. I actually admired the fact that no one complained or made faces when this happened. I requested early seating (715pm) and discovered I was given late seating upon receiving my shipboard card. We found the early seating to be too late for us, so we simply enjoyed the buffet for the majority of the cruise. Its an all inclusive ship meaning all drinks are included. I must also mention that I observed no one acting carried away as a result of being drunk. There were plenty of families on the ship and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.
