Hi everyone! My college aged daughter and I are stepping onto the Regal this Sunday to celebrate her Spring Break! I love Princess and have sailed on the Sapphire, Caribbean and Star. Any tips to help us have a great girls vacation?

Hi Everyone!
Looking for input on how easy is it to get transportation to the cruise terminal from the Ft. Lauderdale Airport. Right now I have transfers with Princess Cruises, but wondering if it would be quicker (and less $$) to get a Cab/Uber and avoid waiting around for Princess to fill the bus. Is it easy to get a cab? We are arriving at 12:15 next Sunday morning. Thanks in advance for any advice. My daughter and I are traveling without my husband and a bit nervous.

We just caught a taxi. The driver knew right where to go and we arranged to have him pick us up after. Easy Peasy!

We left The Rainbow around 4:30 pm and were back on the ship by 5:15 if I remember correctly. There was no traffic to speak of at that time of day. Now leaving the ship to get into town was a different matter entirely!
Sorry. I dont remember how much the cab was.

If your wife wants a beautiful beach, I would go to Grand Case and The Rainbow. I was there in June. Gorgeous.

Just got back from a Vancouver to LA itinerary on the Star. We loved it! We were upgraded to an aft balcony cabin. Highly reccomend. The views were fabulous. Started out rainy but as we headed south it was sunny and warm enough to book an afternoon in the Sanctuary.

Just did this tour in May. Highly recommend! My younger daughter is not a strong swimmer and was fine. You have a choice of tours, either stopping at a beach or snorkeling. We snorkeled. They provide life vests and flippers and bottled water. We booked independently,

For those of you who visited Grand Case Beach recently, if we rent a car is there easy places to park? We rented a car last time we went and explored a few beaches and Marigot but didn't make it to Grand Case. Would like to go there this trip (in November) and trying to decide if we rent a car again or just take a taxi and spend the day there.
I would take a Taxi. The roads around Grand Case were pretty torn up.

I was on the May 26th cruise and had a wonderful time. My family (includes two teenagers) didn't want to leave! My 18 year old loved the magician and we enjoyed the "game show" nights. The food in the MDR was fine. We had breadsticks and enough butter every night. Made to order omlettes in the Buffet were good and we loved to fix a plate of olives, cheese and fruit to have on our balcony with a bottle of champagne most late afternoons. I thought the ship was beautiful and didn't encounter any "smells". We spent one afternoon in the Sanctuary and had great service, ordered from the "spa" menu and had afternoon tea. Take me back!

A few years ago we stayed at a condo right next door to The Rainbow Cafe and spent 7 glorious days on the beach there. The water was calm and the most beautiful color. We ate lunch almost every day at The Rainbow Cafe and the folks there were oh so nice. We are happy to hear they are doing well. If you want a beautiful beach, a wonderful lunch and nice people, I recommend The Rainbow Cafe.
The "Condo" and "The Rainbow" were the only two buildings that have been rebuilt on the beach. The water and beach are still glorious there. I didn't want to leave!

Would you please post your Patters and Menus if you are able?
We will be on in July.
Thanks in advance for your replies
Sorry, I did not keep the Patters. I'm happy to answer any specifics you might have though 😉

Just got off this cruise. You will have a great time!

Just returned. Had a terrific day. Did the Rhino tour at Simpson Bay and then took a cab to Grand Case for lunch at The Rainbow! The french side is pretty beat up, but the roads were driveable. We basically had The Rainbow to ourselves. Delicious lunch and then spent the afternoon on the gorgeous beach in front of the restaurant.[/quote
Do you know what the beach in front of the Rainbow is called? Was traffic bad? I'm worried about getting back to the ship on time.
I do not. When we told the cab driver we wanted to go to Rainbow he knew right where to take us. The beach is gorgeous. Soft sand and calm, turquoise water perfect for floating. If you eat at the restaurant (highly recommend!), you can use the beach chairs and umbrellas for no extra fee. There were no more than 10 people on the beach!
The worst traffic was leaving the cruise ship in the morning. We left Rainbow around 4:20 pm and were back on the ship before 5. Best day ever!

Just got off the Caribbean Princess. My family LOVED the parrots and the steel drum classes were a lot of fun.

Thanks everyone!

Cruising on the Carribean Princess next Saturday! So excited! Got an email stating our check in time is at 1:30 pm. We would like to board earlier. Can we show up at 11am or so? Will they let us board before our designated time? I'm ready to start my vacation, lol!

Passion fruit Souffle with custard sauce in the MDR a few weeks ago on the Sapphire. I'm still thinking about it!

I received my full refund today, including EZ Air. I chose option 2 on March 12th for a May 2nd cruise.
Feeling very relieved.
