Tim, that was a great review! So detailed! Loved reading it. We're going on the Epic on the transatlantic from Barcelona to PC in November. We love NCL. We've only been on the smaller ships - Pearl, Gem, Sun, and Sky. This will be our first big ship and first transatlantic! So thanks for taking the time to enlighten us all!

I agree with cruisemom... stay in Venice..we are staying at Hotel Becher, has a private dock..it's mid range in price. It's always location that counts, to make your trip more memorable.

We're gonna stay there too in November! Are you planning on taking a private water taxi to the hotel?

After reading everyone's suggestions and looking everything up, I emailed some questions to some of these hotels. I am so impressed with their immediate responses! If this is any indication of the level of service they all provide, we're all in good hands. I've reached out to Hotel Becher, Hotel Moresco, and Hotel Santa Chiara.
