  1. We brought kids seabands, kids Dramamine (not sure of the age requirement because ours are a little older) and Motion ease. The Motion ease is nice because it is supposed to help the inner ear but it also has a nice calming scent.

We have seabands at the ready! Motion ease sounds interesting, I'm in the UK so I may have to find an equivalent but I like the idea of using something with natural ingredients.

  2. Hello, I would love to hear others advise on ways to tackle motion sickness for little ones.

My son will be almost 4 on his first cruise coming up and I'd like to have some ideas on how to help him if he starts to feel poorly.

Whenever we travel long distance in the car he does suffer a bit and usually a lolly pop will help, but I'd like him to come home cavity free if he feels sick the whole time on the cruise lol

Thanks all in advance for any help!

  3. There's a shuttle from the ship to Blankenberge to get the train but the trains aren't very frequent. I'd recommend the shuttle bus from the port gates to Bruges. This is the website -http://www.cruise-express.be/en/ and it costs €20

The bus runs every 30 minutes and is very reliable. It drops you off in the same coach park that P&O use but costs an awful lot less than the Bruges On Your Own tour. This shuttle only started last year so it's not too well known about yet but we'll definitely use it again.

That's some fantastic info. Thank you very much. I think with my little one in tow this might be the best solution!

  4. Hi all, sorry if this has been answered a million times over. I wasn't wondering in anyone could tell me if there is a FREE shuttle from Zeebrugge (cruise port) to Blankenberge train station? Or likewise free shuttle into Bruges itself?

This is on the Ventura in August 2017. Thanks for any help provided :)

  5. Sitka 7am-3:30pm

I think I could honestly live in Sitka or Ketchikan. I’m sure everyone knows that it is supposed to be where the movie ‘The Proposal’ takes place but it wasn’t filmed there. It is however just as cute as the movie makes it out to be.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write this review, I'm enjoying it so much! ... Sorry to back track, but whoa! I had no idea the movie you mentioned wasn't actually film in Sitka! I saw it years ago and have been starry eyed to visit ever since, how sneeky. It hasn't changed my mind or obsession to visit Alaska any less ;)
