Another Great Video, you guys are very talented!!!
I do have a curiosity question for you!
I booked a neighborhood guarantee balcony for a last minute cruise on the Allure 10/14 and was assigned central park balcony. I totally understand that this cat is assigned by the cruise line and I am rolling the dice with my stateroom. This is my argument or concern, while I am only Diamond Status with 131 points, why wouldn't they look at this when assigning guar staterooms. And according to all Royal Caribbean definitions of "neighborhood guar balcony" it's Central Park OR Boardwalk. If I make a Boardwalk request why couldn't they oblige? It's not like I am asking for Ocean View Bal! Am I being unreasonable ?

First of all great Videos as always, you guys were on the Navi with us last year for Spring Break. It was 7 of us in green st patty's day t-shirts like you guys.
Anyway, just saw you were on the Adventure this past March(we went on Allure) and looks like you enjoyed the refurbished ship! We just booked the 8 night for Christmas 12/21/19.
Also watch the video "Our love Story" which is very similar to our early days as a couple and now as a family. We wouldn't give up the memories that have been made and will be made on future cruises!! Our son's first cruise was at three and we haven't stopped.
I hope we sail again together on day. Are you on Symphony for Thanksgiving 2018?

I am off for advanced flow riding. Only five people in line. This is going to be an amazing day. I have found my unicorn.
Oh, How we remember you being a fin antic for the Flow Rider. At this point in time you must be giving the staff a run for the money on the last day of the cruise!!
Have a great day!

Hello CCers.
This thread will be used for posting Harmony Eastern Itinerary Compasses only. I have a live review also going on, so if you have questions please ask there as they will not be answered here. Here is a link to it.
I'm trying to remember if you were the family we got to know on the 2014 Oasis Thanksgiving cruise. You had a corner loft suite ? You also loved the FlowRider!
We had children Richard and Ellie

My husband and I have sailed on the Brilliance twice now. Both times we had cabin #7038, which is an E3. We did not have an obstructed balcony. In fact, it was nice and large. We asked our cabin steward for a lounge chair so we could lie out there.
So we had two chairs, a lounge chair and a table and still plenty of room with no obstructions. It was also very close to the one set of elevators and quick and easy getting to the Windjammer above.
Good luck with whatever you decide to to.
Jo
Good morning
Don't know if u still r on cruise critic but we r sailing on serenade in cabin 7038. Sounds like u enjoyed it

Hi Cindy,
Thanks for taking the time to review the Serenade. My family and I will be on her for Christmas and New Years this year 12 nights. We can't wait!!! I am concern about the smoke issue. I hate the smell of smoke!!!!! We are currently located on deck seven in staterooms 7516 & 7518 which are very forward. Do you think I will have a problem. We were on deck 9, staterooms 9522 & 9524 but changed to deck seven because of the larger veranda. We normally get to balcony staterooms for the four of us, but being this cruise is over both holidays, the price would not allow us to do so.

I would not want to put two adults in the sofa bed. Maybe two small children.
Trust me I know, our cabin has the upper berth for my daughter(11) and my son(14) was going to take the sofa. I would like to find out if the sofa is like the ones on the Oasis and Freedom class ships where they open like a trundle bed. The bottom part slides forward and the back slide down and lies flat next to the bottom. The sofa pictures I have found online show the three cushion one as well as one that looks like a single.

Good Morning All,
Question 5 in OK,
I am getting mixed information from the C & A desk in regards to our stateroom 9522. They are saying a couple of things that has me scratching my head!
1-They are saying it was a Cat D1 before moving it to E1,so does that mean it still has the square footage as the D1 or did they chop some off? lol
2-They have also indicated the sofa bed can accommodate four as ones similar on the Freedom and Oasis class. I was able to find some pics and it looks like a twin sofa bed .
Any help on this matter is truly appreciated.

Our experiences in port were slightly different than the OP's, but probably only because we'd visited each of them several times and knew what we wanted to do and what to avoid (like Atlantis on New Year's Eve with 5 ships in port!). In Nassau we went to a chocolate-making demonstration at the Greycliff Hotel and then toured the new Heritage Museum across the street. Both activities were quiet and subdued--just the atmosphere we were looking for after being swept along Bay Street by hordes of shoppers.
This is AWESOME advice! I wish I had researched how many ships would be in port (average about 1,000 people per ship head to Atlantis)!! I would have definitely changed my excursion! Quiet and subdued would definitely not describe Atlantis that day!
Thanks for the great informative post on the Serenade!!!
We bit the bullet and switch our traditional Thanksgiving Day cruise(Allure) to a 12 night Christmas/New Year cruise out of FLL. We can not WAIT!!!!

Balcony partitions cannot be opened on Radiance class ships.
That's what I thought, we were next to her in Cozumel and I didn't see any open.
Thanks for the info.
Have a good one.

For those of you who have cruise on the Serenade in the past and have had staterooms next to each other this question is for you.
Do the partitions open on the balcony like the Oasis class? I have had mix responses. They look like they do not!

The family and I just booked the Serenade for Christmas and New Years 2015!!!! 12 glorious nights.

What I have learned about people who review ships, take it with a grain of salt. Some people can never be satisfied. I went on the MSC Divina in March 2014, she was bashed on the review boards but it was a great cruise.
-
We're doing the 10-nt on Serenade about a month after you. We booked the same aft balcony we've had twice before on the Jewel (sister ship). Those aft balconies on this class of ship are FABULOUS. if you can I highly recommend getting one of these cabins.
We love this class of ship way better than the Vision class. Definitely do this trip!
Hey OTownNick, not sure if you remember me from the Vision on 8/28/2014(slot pull) Anyway, we just changed from the Allure for Thanksgiving 2015 to the Serenade for Christmas/New Years. 12 night of true holiday fun (no cooking, cleaning up after house guest and relaxation!!!!
I ran a slot pull on the Oasis this past Thanksgiving, didn't win anything.
Hope all is well

We had an entire wall mirror fall on us in bed on Oasis while we were sleeping. Thankfully we did not have to go to medical, but we were up for a few hours in the middle of the night while the area was cleaned and bedding was changed out. A few days later there was a bottle of wine and a letter from a guest the services manager that we spoke with later the next day about the incident. The letter gave us a FCC of 10% of what that cruise fare cost.
Our concern was our incident a one off, or one of many to come as Oasis was a few years old at that point. That is what we expressed to the Guest Services Manager as well as the head of house keeping that visited with us. We also provided them saved photos, to which they said would be used for training. This was a total surprise as we were more concerned about other guests and their safety.
The OP's FCC is most likely a percentage refund of what their sailing fare was, just like ours.
Hey Andrew
Its Rich Rafalski, did this happen on this past thanksgiving cruise? I hope your new year is going well!!!! We made the switch yesterday from the Allure for thanksgiving 2015 to the Serenade for Christmas/New Years!!! 12 nights.
I was a big jump in price but with a couple overtime shifts at the department should help.
Is the whole family taking the March cruise? If so, and you have some spare time to kill and a rental car, I would love to give a tour of our stations to the family. Are you attending the Boca Raton Concours d’Elegance —car show at the Boca Resort on Feb 20th?

Thanks for all the post cruise updates. We are booked on the Freedom (11/23/2014) for next Thanksgiving. We got the balcony 9396/interior 9401 connecting rooms again. This time they are on the other side of the ship. Let me just say, that configuration is the BEST. It was like having a two bedroom suite with TWO bathrooms!!!!!! You can't even get that with a JS. We were going back and forth of maybe doing the Oasis but having the two rooms for the price of one on the Oasis sealed the deal. We also considered a back to back on the Liberty making it a 9 night but the itinerary didn't make sense.
I hope everyone has a Great Christmas and Wonderful New Year!!!!!
