I cruised the Azure Seas back in 1991 I think it was. I was 15, and it was my first cruise, so my memories were vague. I was with my parents and was able to bring a friend. I actually have a couple of photos on my Facebook page of that trip. There are 2 things that stand out as different that cruising today, form looking back at the photos. One, is that the chairs in the movie theater were moveable dining room style chairs all lined up, and not theater style as we are used to today. And the other was that they gave us those coiled paper confetti things to throw off the ship as we sailed off from San Pedro. Another thing I remember was that when we got to Catalina, the winds and waves were bad enough that they wouldn't tender us off the ship, so we technically had a day at say instead. Luckily I have been there several times since.
