Not my thread but I am curious, can you really not bring on a few cans of soda? I hated their fountain drinks and I don’t think the ship has the cool soda machines yet...

We are paying $50.00 more to be flown back directly to Quito, not sure if that would work for you but our returning flight is from Quito so this was much better for us. Silverseas was lovely about this and said they much preferred this as opposed to us booking our own flights. There is no day room but we hired a driver to take us around our the day for a bit of sightseeing before our flight back through Houston.

As for children, I agree. It would be hard not to be inspired, regardless of age.

Thanks, we are waiting anxiously for some trip reports and photos from the ship. We are booked on the June 14th western sailing. Even though it is so far away, we are incredibly excited. I am keeping my fingers crossed for rave reviews and a trip of a lifetime for the Frye family!

We're you already on the Silversea Galapagos? Do you have photos? I thought the first cruise was on the 28th.
