Just got off this cruise sunday. We did the self assist that started around 7:00. We got in line around 6:55 to get off the ship and were at the airport at our gate before 8. If you were to wait to get off this ship till 7:30 or 8:00 I could see there being delays as the lines got very long quick.

Has anyone ever booked Dolphin Discovery on their own? We are going to st thomas on the carnival valor in April and looked at the dolphin excursions they offer but liked the ones on Dolphin Discovery site better.

Has anyone ever done either of the carnival dolphin swim excursions? Can you tell me about them?

In Belize My wife and I did the cave tubing tour. It was interesting and vary laid back relaxing tour. However yo do have to walk and carry your tube to the river. I think it was maybe a 20 minute walk. You would need to make sure the seniors are up for that.

In Isla Roatan we did the dolphin swim and snorkel. This may cost a little more than what you want to spend but it was our favorite excursion. I had no interest in this excursion at all and only booked it because of my wife but it ended up being the best one of our trip.

I just booked La Terraza De San Juan. It was a little pricey being a little more than $300 for one night. Has anyone ever stayed there?

Courtyard does not have any rooms available that work for our group. I wish they did.

What can everyone tell me about Hotel plaza De Armas, Hotel Milano, or SJ Suites. I am getting ready to book 1 of the 3 and the reviews are mixed on all of them. We will be staying one night before our cruise on the valor.

Tendering in grand cayman is a breeze. Very short ride so I wouldnt worry at all. When I tendered in Belize I would say it was close to a 30 minute ride. I was on one of the cat boats so it was fairly slow compared to the mono hull tenders. The ride was smooth given the weather that day and the crew talked about the country the whole time so it made for an interesting ride. I would do it again.

I second the suggestion about booking an excursion in Belize. There is not much to do in the port area and from the looks of it I dont think you want to venture out on your own. My wife and I did the cave tubing and did not care for it to much.

You will be fine. We sailed out of Miami this summer and our return flight was not till 4. Noticed they had an earlier flight at 10:30am flight so we got off this ship as soon as we could did the self disembark and made it to the airport in plenty of time.
