  1. I just did a forward PH on the Dawn in January, it is too windy to use the balcony after you leave port. I like being able to use my balcony at night. But in a forward when you want to go outside it is a big hassle. You have the big "submarine" door to open and all the lights have to be off because you are directly under the bridge. I could turn around and wave at them. We have booked an aft PH next because I want to be able to use my balcony other than when in port.

  2. Did some research for you on Deck 10 on the Sky. Here is what I found for you:

    Deck 10

The Norwegian Sky's Deck 10 is located beneath the Pool Deck on the Norwegian Sky, which could be a great place for a stateroom for those who plan on sunbathing and enjoying casual dining. However, there could be some noise issues for some staterooms on this deck, so it's worth your while to carefully look over cabins on this deck.

Some of the best cabins on the Norway Deck of the Norwegian Sky are located most forward.

Exterior staterooms 0002- 0011 port side, 0202- 0212 starboard, and inside cabins 0101- 0109 and 0301- 0308. These are probably the most quiet of the cabins on the Sky's Norway Deck.

Midship on Deck 10 of the Norwegian Sky, exterior staterooms 0019- 0031 port side, 0219- 0231 starboard, and inside cabins 0112, 0311, 0113- 0117 are all under the pool area. There could be noises at night, such as the scraping of deck chairs as staff clean after hours.

Least preferred exterior cabins are 0049- 0060 port side because these are all under a popular bar and teen disco, and there could be noise issues very late at night.

Inside cabins 0105, 0304, 0107, 0306, 0140, and 0340 are next to elevators or stairwells and could have noise issues.

Aft on Deck 10, staterooms and suites 0053- 0067 port side and 0253- 0266 starboard are under public venues which include the very popular casual restaurants on the Norwegian Sky. This will affect aft inside cabins in this section the most, so we do suggest looking for an interior stateroom elsewhere.

Aft, Penthouse Suites 0064 and 0264 have that majestic (less breezy) ocean view.

On Deck 10 of the Sky, balcony staterooms 0065- 0067, 0265, and 0266 are between the Penthouse Suites and also have that beautiful (less breezy) view of the ocean.

  3. I was really upset over this situation that has been created by NCL. On Thursday I sent an email to Kevin Sheehan and received a call from his Executive offices yesterday (Friday). They said the same thing as they replied earlier in this thread that they are aware of this issue and are working on it. She assured me that it will be corrected by my cruise in January. Also on Thursday, I talked with customer service and one of the managers sent an email up the chain of command to make them aware of the situation in Tampa. He called me today and said that an executive will be at the Tampa port tomorrow to see what is going on. He will call me back on Monday and give me an update. I like the fact that they will have someone there to check things out. Maybe we'll get some results.

  4. I am booked for the Dawn in January and it has been booked for almost a year. I have been looking forward to this cruise for so long and we will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary. Now I find out this information on CC. NEVER in the past year was I made aware of this stupid open loop plan by NCL or my TA. I am extremely upset that they would willingly subject other passengers to these long lines getting on and off the ship. Why can't those passengers just get on in Tampa like everyone else? I will be contacting NCL and letting them my thoughts on this subject.:mad::mad::mad:

  5. :D

We are very happy that this service is there even if we are not in a Haven suite this time. We did not get a letter, hear about it from our PC, or know from prior service. We found a CC thread that said that the concierge desk had a number, so I called to ask if was just haven guests or was it all suites. I was told ALL full suite guests (meaning no mini suites) were included.

What does pre-cruise concierge service offer?

    1. The name of our concierge at sea...Yea we have Monica on the Star next week!

    2. Pillow service planned ahead...means no feathers in the room for me when I enter!

    3. Beer on ice for my DH when he gets in the room. (not gonna happen otherwise)

    4. All of the stuff in the fridge will be taken out so to make room for what I want.

    5. The coffee I want will be in the room for the machine will be well stocked.

    6. We requested a certain butler....MAXI

So, if you are staying in a suite, you can do this too! Just call 1-855-625-4283. Yup, any suite on any ship! I sooooo love NCL!!:D

Thanks for the info. I will use the number when it gets closer to my cruise.
